Product Description

Product Description

Dalluge 2110 21oz Framing Hammer. 17" Straight Hickory Handle, Milled Face, Magnetic Nail Holder/Start. Dalluge decking and framing hammers are in a class by themselves. Designed by a professional carpenter for professional carpenters, Dalluge hits the word "balance" right on the nose, with head-to-handle weight ratio so precise, you'll swear you're swinging a much light hammer. The result is surer, deeper, more powerful nail driving with less strain on the arm and shoulder.

From the Manufacturer

Whether you're building a deck, nailing siding, putting up a fence or framing a house, there's a Dalluge hammer to fit your needs. Dalluge hammers are available in an extra large serrated face, which is designed to grip the nail head through the drive, reducing slippage and bent nails. Or choose a smooth or textured face to prevent elephant tracks on the wood. Sleek, aerodynamically contoured handles are available in straight or curved design. All handles are made from flame-treated American hickory and machine-gauged to a precise balance, then double sanded, buffed and lacquered to assure maximum comfort.

Excellent balance and weight. Larger milled face allows you to swing with confidence. Weight is just right for most jobs - perhaps a tiny bit too light for wall framing but great for everything else. Magnetic nail set feature very useful when nailing above your head. This has become my overall work hammer. Very comfortable to use.

I have worked with many different crews, and have worked on residential housing from breaking ground to helping the home owners move in. When I first started off with my Home Depot brand hammer. After working with my first crew I realized that everybody was using a Dalluge or a Stilleto hammer. After losings my first hammer (broken wooden neck) I joined the more seasoned men by getting a Dalluge 21 oz. serrated hammer. Instantly I realized that it was far superior. It's comfort, strength, and balance truly made working easier and promoted a better swing, putting a nail away quicker.
Later other guys said that I had to try a Stilleto. So, when my Dalluge's hickory handle was getting near the end of it's rope I got a Stilleto and tried to use it with an unbiased opinion. Instantly I noticed it's serrated face was deteriorating very quickly. Then all of a sudden, while doing light framing, three weeks into using it, the medal cracked in half. Unbelievable to the most veteran of carpenters, the handle was intact and looking new, the medal claw was still there and looked fine, but the head of the hammer was on the ground. Granted the metal busting in half was probably a freak accident, but the decider for me was three weeks into use the serrated face was looking worse then my one year used Dalluge (and I'm not a shy person when it comes to slamming on a cats paw or concrete.)
Over the years I have tried many other hammers that other carpenters used. Nothing is close to the Dalluge. With the exception of the Dalluge 24 oz. It was also a great hammer but when you switch back to a 21 oz you notice the weight difference, but your still putting nails away with two swings. So, the 21 oz. is still my weapon of choice.

I am a Concrete Form-Setter and Rough Carpenter, and I absolutely love my 21-ounce Dalluge Framing Hammer. It's made in USA, well-built, and PERFECTLY BALANCED! The straight hickory handle is really comfortable. I prefer the 21-ounce version over the 24-ounce version (I've owned both.) I like to say that, "this will make you a better carpenter."

I've been a carpenter for 20 years. The Dalluge 21 oz. framing hammer has no equal. It has the longest-lasting face and best balance of all the dozen brands I know.
