Crystal clear pyrex glass with easy to read graduations. Very durable with a nice heft. Just the right size for my zymology related endeavors....the hydrometer fits perfectly.

I bought this graduated cylinder specifically to contain my maple syrup hydrometer.

It worked great. You could use it for beer, wine, or anything that uses a hydrometer.

Not that I intend to test it out, but the glass seems thick and would probably take some abuse.

When I started homebrewing wine and cider in earnest, I decided it would be a good idea to get a hydrometer, so I could measure the potential and actual alcohol content of my libations. And when I realized I needed a tube to put the liquid in, I thought, why go for a plain one when I can just get a graduated cylinder? After some research, I bought this one. I liked it enough that after I (accidentally) smashed it, I bought another of them.

It's very sturdy, made of thick glass and has a heavy base on it. It is tall enough that my hydrometer can get a good reading even at the highest end of it's scale.

I was not expecting much from a $13 graduated cylinder, and I got what I expected. It is thin walled for a graduated cylinder I don't think it would take much to break it. That being said as long as you are careful with it should be fine. The cylinders I'm used to using are heavier and thicker walled, but for the purposes I'm using it for (essentially a hydrometer tube) it works just fine.

Use my hydrometer in this when making beer. Fits perfect. When I break it, which is inevitable, I will buy another one of the same.

this is made of really thick glass. I like that it is all one piece and doesn't have a cheaper base.

Looks great and appears to be perfectly functional. Big problem is that it's not level. It's like a 4 wheel cart where only 3 wheels are touching the floor, and this needs to be level to measure accurately.

Was using this to measure the proof of some bourbon I was barreling. It did the job nicely. The molded-in base was what sold me as compared to some of the cheaper options that are commonly available from brewing supply houses.
