5.0 out of 5 stars Sam's Best So Far
I first got the Japanese import of this since I didn't think itwould *ever* be released in the US. Let me tell you, the $$$ I shelled out was worth it, and if you're getting it here cheaper, you're making a great steal! This is Sam's best work and her voice has really matured. This album shows her making a transition to a house/dance style of music.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Mixed Bag of Memorable Gems and Dull Throwaways
Samantha Fox has managed to release quite a few exciting and sexy dance songs over the course of career. Unfortunately, you have to weed through a lot of dull "garbage" to reach the gems. This album is no exception. "Just a Dream," "Wasted NRG," and her cover of "Perhaps" are the real highlights of this CD. Some of the other songs aren't exciting but will grow on you...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sam's Best So Far, May 29, 2000
This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
I first got the Japanese import of this since I didn't think itwould *ever* be released in the US. Let me tell you, the $$$ I shelled out was worth it, and if you're getting it here cheaper, you're making a great steal! This is Sam's best work and her voice has really matured. This album shows her making a transition to a house/dance style of music.

"Just A Dream" and "The Reason Is You" show Sam's sultry side and dramatic vocals. Sure to become Sammy classics with "I Wanan Have Some Fun" and "I Surrender."

"I Dream In Colours" is very trancey and some may not like it, but it's interesting and a great beat. Hello X! *L*

"Deeper" & "Where Is The Love?" are more club hopping hits to be that make you want to get out of your seat and shake your thang!

"Love Makes You" is, in my opinion, Samantha's best song *ever*. It's so sweet, inspiring, and all-out Sam. A classic in my book.

"Let Me Be Free" & "Wasted NRG" are more dance tunes needing to be heard in clubs throughout the world - they are Sam in top form and great voice.

"Say What You Want" & "Do You Want Me?" are very cool. Sam calls "Say" a "Love making song" so you can figure that out..."Want Me" is a very cool pop song and keeps the CD going.

"Boundaries of Love" & "Watching You" are ok. "Boundaries" is good once in awhile, but can get annoying. "Watching" is the one flaw in this CD. It's a total album-filler, and at over 6-minutes, it seems it will never end.

"Perhaps" is a Latin-dance cover of the Doris Day cover and does it proud. This version definitely defeats versions by Cake and Geri Halliwell. Ms. Day should be proud.

Over all, this is by far Sam's best work, and you shouldn't miss out on this excellent set!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great work!, June 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
Samantha Fox has done a great job with this new CD.It's like a movie when you take part in her "dreamworld".I love the song "Deeper" it's about the pain of losing someone you love that the pain goes deeper and deeper till you win this person back.I also like a lot "Let me be free" it's about taking the consequences when the love is over and being honest about it.This song is very dance and house influenced."Dream in colors" is a beautiful wonderland-imagination.It is very romantic. Another smash is "Watching you" it's very rocky and modernstyle influenced, it is really sexy."The reason is you"is a wonderful song which has a lot of Spanish guitars in it which makes the song very fresh. "Boundaries of love" is a song about a love that is gone , the same topic concerns "Where's the love".This two songs are very modern-made, like the whole album. It's very, very good (also all the songs I haven't mentioned). I often take this CD when I do gym and other sports at home.

Ms. Fox, how I missed your music. Not receiving the deserved respect in the U.S. but recognized throughout the world. This latest album took awhile to hit the states and though not many were ordered by retailers, loyal Samantha Fox fans snapped them up quickly. Every song is a treat. Ms. Fox's voice has matured and is even better that her early days in the late 80's. I can't wait for her next record. Thank you SAM!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars hot dance music, January 22, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
Perhaps (no pun intended) the best dance record of the nineties. It is great hi-nrg stuff. I don't think I can favor or disfavor any tracks because they are all so great. This is the record most kids (Britney and all) wish they could make. It rivals even some of Madonnas best work. It is by far her best nineties effort. The other being "Just One Night" (kind of a snooze). It is a little bit different than her exellent eighties reocrds but will be enjoyed.

This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
I really enjoyed this album and to me this is one of the best albums that were made in the last 5 years. I enjoyed every song, especially "Deeper", "Where's the love?" and "The reason is you". All the songs have their own style and are very up-to-date. It's a great work! check it out and enjoy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait., November 7, 1998

This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
Samantha Fox has come back after a lengthy hiatus since JUST ONE NIGHT in 1991. More importantly, she has come back strong. She co-wrote almost every song on the album and her strength as a songwriter shows. The album is a wonderful collection of dance tracks, but best of all they diverse from the London club sound of "Deeper"; the Latin rhythms of "Perhaps"; and the American pop sound of "Let Me Be Free." She has come a long way since "Touch Me" in 1986. She's matured, her subject matter is stronger and she's taking more creative control of her work. She's in fine voice in fine songs. If you're a fan, you'll love it. If you're not, this is the album that will convert you.

5.0 out of 5 stars From my teenage walls to my adulthood ears, December 19, 2002
By
This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
I'm always nostalgic for the 80's. And when I was much younger it was the voluptuous Samantha Fox who graced my boyhood bedroom walls and my stereo system. I'm much older now and amazed at how much I still enjoy the music of Ms. Fox. This CD is an excellent work. Her voice has never fit so comfortably and her lyrics are more emotionally intelligent. This is the work of a more grown up Samantha Fox. The music is all electronic, but it is far too comfortable to be considered cold hard techno. The melodies and harmonies are smooth and pure and the songs are painted with many warm and vibrant colors. The music is quite danceable and will inevitably get you moving, but it has a sunshining dreamlike feel to it as well. This is Fox's best album of them all. Looks like our little Sam has grown up into quite a woman. And she still looks great too!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous comeback!, June 6, 2000
By
This review is from: 21st Century Fox (Audio CD)
Samantha Fox has done a real great job with this new album. Her voice is pleasant as always and she wrote almost every song by herself. The album has a lot of different styles of music involved. Some songs have a real hot Spanish guitar (e.g.the reason is you), some are very housy (e.g. deeper), a lot dance (e.g let me be free) and also modern ballads(e.g. love makes you). Another significance is that every single song has an enormous amount of energy and emotion, no matter what topic it is about. The lyrics are as various as the songs, some are about love, some about heartache, pain, joy , friendship and intimacy. Even after 3 years I still listen to it and it is still great entertainment. Check it out, it's worth the money spent on!
