I never took this supplement, because I read the label first and found that only 100mg of the 500 mg are actually pomegranate extract i.e. from the fruit, the substance found to have antioxidant activity. The "40% Ellagic Acid" only applies to the 100mg as well, making it actually 8% in one capsule. In the description it says they "contain" pomegranate extract standardized to 40% ellagic acid, but the actual supplement contents breaks that down to reveal that only 100mg is that extract while 400mg of each capsule is pomegranate seed. I don't know much about pomegranate seed, but I know when a company is trying to rip me off and I don't like it! Don't buy this unless you really need some pomegranate seed and are willing to take 5 capsules to get the pomegranate EXTRACT they insinuate is in one.

Attractive price, good packaging. Capsules permit significant aroma -- not altogether pleasant -- to escape. No product dust on the exterior of the capsules.
