My stickshift 96 Maxima SE (with +200K miles on it) threw a knock sensor code about a year back and I never bothered replacing it because the car ran okay (if uninspired) and it looked like it would be a huge pain to replace the sensor. Then I spotted it for such a low price on Amazon (<$30) and someone posted a video on YouTube showing an easy way to replace it, so I bit. Everything went smoothly until I realized my hand was too big to get into the engine to get the new sensor installed - good thing my wife isn't averse to getting her hands dirty. Anyway, car runs like a champ again, the KS code is gone, and this replacement part works great.

Replaced my maxima 99 se ltd stock knock sensor with this one. CEL went off and everything is back to normal. No way would I pay the OEM or advanceauto/autozone price for this baby.

1998 Altima GXE Knock Sensor,

This plugged right into my 1998 Altima GXE. I also metered the old sensor which turned out to still be good after 14 years of hard use. I think the Resistance (OHMs) read .561 on the 10M scale. The Haynes Auto Manual has the value ranges in it. I was amazed how in exspensive this part was compared to everyone else online and off. cheap enough to keep extra one on had. I think this might even fit some Subaru`s (just guessing my eyeballing one once). I had my exhaust system out so the hard to get to sensors and PCV valve got replaced. The PCV valve I re-routed it to the top of the engine. easier to get to in the future. Mike Mencer

I just replaced the knock sensor in my son's '97 Maxima in one hour using this product. The following video on Youtube was very helpful for showing the installation procedure: [...]. I spent $27 for the KS from this supplier on Amazon (including shipping) - much less than what the auto repair shop wanted - $200 for the part and $400 to put in. Car runs great after installation - too early to tell how much better or for how long, but I am sure it will be fine. I would definitely buy this product again

I called around to several Austin, TX area auto parts stores, and this exact same sensor was between $124-$189. I bought this one on Amazon.com from Auto Parts Pro for $18.50, plus about $8 shipping. It is now securely installed on my Nissan Pathfinder's engine block and spliced into the wires going to the car's computer, (as seen on a video on YouTube). Between the cost of this sensor, and a new wire harness from the dealer, I spent less than $50 to fix what the mechanic would have charged $500 to do. I'm happy to report that my car passed inspection and even seems to be running better. Excellent price and speedy delivery...expectations far exceeded!

My code scanner found the old one to be faulty. After removing the intake,I found a corroded blob. I relocated it to the top of the intake , as quite a few xterra owners have. I know it should be mounted to the block, but I don't want to have to go through the crap just to replace it again. I have no codes now,so it worked. The only bad thing is that the electrical connector is different. I modified a somewhat similar plug for the junkyard. Oh yeah, change you spark plugs while in there. Trust me. You'll wish you had.

This product worked awesomely on my 96 nissan 200 sx se-r. It saved me about $130 after shipping. Every store I went to like auto zone and advanced auto had it listed for 150 bucks. The sensor was also at my door within 3 days.
