4.0 out of 5 stars Happy Sleuthing!
I am a Clue fanatic... and this game is just as good or better!! Fun, individual mysteries for you to solve by visiting places on the game board and using your common sense. My boyfriend hates these types of games because he's not very good at them.... but even HE enjoyed this game and stood a chance at winning. Great game even for just 2 people.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I was super excited when I received the game thinking that it would be like another Clue game, but I was wrong. The game itself is fun, but you can only play it a certain amount of time before you remember each case (only 20 cases). The quality of the tokens are horrible, one actually broken when I received the game. The "Skeleton Key" and "Scotland Yard" cards are also...

My 8 year old and I love this game. We play cooperatively which makes for a very pleasant, quick game, filled with natural learning for both of us! It is often silly, for example it will give a "sounds like" clue, rather than real mystery solving, but we rate it very highly and play a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you liked Clue as a kid, you'll love this game, September 24, 2008

If you loved playing the classic game of Clue when you were a kid, then you'll love this challenging version of 221B Baker Street. You are Sherlock Holmes and you are in a race with the other players to gather information to solve the mysteries presented. I'm not a reader of mystery novels, but I do enjoy this game. My husband and I played it with friends when we first got married years ago, and now that our kids are older we can enjoy some of our time together with this game. Have fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classics Never Die, February 23, 2010

I remember playing 221 Baker St. on my Dad's PC in the '80's and loving it! It was great to find a board game version of one of my childhood favorites. The game plays very similarly to Clue-BUT-it is more difficult. The clues require more work to decipher and the mysteries are more challenging. The game comes with a set number of cases to solve-so once you get through all of them you know all the case endings. You have the option to order another book with more mysteries if you do manage to crack all of the cases in the first book:) I think the first book will last me quite awhile, because now that I have a family of my own it's tougher to find other adults and time to sit down for a board game...most of my game time now is spent playing Candy Land and Memory;)

4.0 out of 5 stars Terrific "Vintage" Game, May 21, 2009

I bought this game for my wife who loves Sherlock Holmes. We both loved the "vintage" look and feel. It was a little confusing at first, but after we played one game, we found it to be rather simple. It is an excellent game along the lines of Clue, which requires deduction, strategy, and a little luck. We also found that it's much more fun when more than 2 people play, but still fun nonetheless with only 2. My only concern when purchasing was the limited number of scenarios, but have found that they do sell additional sets of scenarios, and like with any boardgame, we don't play quite enough to play through all of the scenarios any time soon.

This is a fantastic game that would really only suit children over 13 years of age. While simple to play it require general knowledge that younger players would not have.

Arrived in great condition and incredibly fast.

Would happily recommend game and seller to others. Heres to many more fun hours with it.

20 years ago, my house guests and I would stay up all night playing this game. It's the only game I've had that has worn out. I was thrilled to find it's still available and bought 3. It's a great family board game and is just as stimulating as any video game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not social, October 6, 2011
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

This game is very good, feels like a classic. It's clue without all the randomness. The story lines are well thought out. Sadly, the cases require so much thought that players keep to them selves, reading and rereading the cases for clues. While very enjoyable, this removes the social aspect of board game playing.

I got this game many years ago and I was fortunate to get the additional mystery cards. My daughter who is 24 now wants to play this game every Christmas. The clues can be tricky but the story some times gives you clues to the answers. It's educational and hours of fun for the whole family. Get it!!!

I grew up playing this game with my family in England. Some of my fondest memories are sitting around the table battling my brothers and parents in a game of whits and deduction.

A lot of the other reviews compare the game to Clue, there really is no compasison this is a far superior game.

I was a little dissapointed in the quality of the game pieces and the detailing in the playing board, the same game in England seems to be of a much higher qaulity and detail.

That being said however, for $15 I would buy this game again and again. It is hours of fun and is a fanastic way to help young children and adults develop a keen sense of deductive reasoning.

I remember playing this game when I was 7 years old and loving it. I would recomend it to any parent who wants to help their child grow up to be a smart and reasonable adult.
