I purchased this to minimize the cool drafty air coming from around my attic door. I am a 5'2" 125lb female and I was able to install this with no issue in about 30 minutes. My only complaint is that the thermal material is thin and very easy to tear away from the reinforced stitching, but I just covered mine with duct tape and I have no issues.

The Battic Door assembled easily and fit perfectly over the pull down stair opening. It definitely seals off the opening, recently pulled down the stairs on a cold day and not draft coming down

Overall, this is a good product. I wish that the sides were about 3 inches deeper to prevent the ladder from hitting the insulation.

Simple idea that works great, fits well and should save some money in the long run. It also qieted some of the furnace noise from the attic. 20 minutes to put it together.

The entrance to the attic is slighly warped and air leaks through. By installing this, it stopped the air leakage. Prior to this, we the upstairs windows and sliding glass doors, covered the whole house fan, but the upstairs would get cold in the winter and hot in the summer (but not as bad as before). Installed this and now the upstairs is much more balanced in temperature.

Well worth the money. If you assembled a bankers box, you can assemble this.

This product is grossly overpriced, but if I paid to send it back and then paid to drive to the hardware store, I wouldn't wind up saving that much. Seems like it will probably pay for itself quickly, but I think they could sell this for half as much and still make a handsome profit. If I had the time, I'd publish an on-line how-to, charge $8 for it, and people could make this themselves for $30.

Although very simple in design (I hope they have patented this) it makes a huge difference in the temperature of the room with our attic door in it. Prior to installation, in the South Texas summer heat, you could feel the heat radiating out of the attic doorway. It made the room unpleasant to be in. After installation, the room is as cool as, if not cooler than the other rooms on the second floor of the house. My wife is very picky and sensitive to temperature and this product has her seal of approval (which is not given lightly!) 5 stars.
