5.0 out of 5 stars Kevon's CD Is Great!
'How often' do you get to listen to great music? Once you start listening to Kevon's album, you'll be listening to it '24/7'. His duet with Face is a work of art. You've done it again Kennith. Much props... I especially enjoy tracks #1 thru #9. This is a must for your CD collection. Too bad there's only a 5 star rating system 'cause I would of given it 10 stars...

5.0 out of 5 stars Kevon Edmonds new CD is the best CD you will ever buy., November 2, 1999

This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
Kevon Edmonds debut solo release ''24/7'' is OUTSTANDING!!! Kevon has a soultry, sexy voice that is MESMERIZING. There are so many great tracks on his CD. A few standouts are: ''A Girl Like You'' which is a duet with his brother, Kenneth ''Babyface'' Edmonds. ''Love Will Be Waiting'' which should be the next single released from this project. ''24/7'' which is the title track and first single released from his CD. ''No Love'' which is a ballad with heart felt lyrics. Last, and certainly not least, ''Anyway'' which is an uptempo song with an awesome beat! Kevon Edmonds, ''24/7'', is a contender for ''ALBUM OF THE YEAR."

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect romantic mood music, March 1, 2000
By
This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
Just happened to be looking over the reviews for "24/7" and I have to admit--I'm on the bandwagon for rave reviews. Every song on Kevon Edmonds' solo debut are PERFECT. Not one track warrants a fast forward--although I have to admit, it took a while for "Baby Come To Me" to catch me, it reminded me too much of Whitney Houston's corny power-pop days. Naturally, little brother Babyface's production is sharp as ever, but check out the skills of newcomer Greg Curtis (Anyway, Sensitive Mood). The best 2 songs on the disc in my opinion are "No Love" and "Sensitive Mood", two joints that will definitely get things started. If you are looking for the PERFECT mood music for an episode with your significant other, this is an absolute must. Kevon has definitely got the skills to get the ladies to swoon--even if this is a precursor to Babyface's new disc coming later this spring.

5.0 out of 5 stars KEVON IS DEFINTELY NUMBER 1!, February 4, 2000

The first time I heard this CD, I could not believe that I fell in love with every song! I like to play music while watching a movie and to me that exploded the CD even more! I can honestly say I have not bought a CD in so long, but I know quality when I hear it! It's not about fame and fortune and trying to sell so many CDs! The single"24/7" is so beautiful! This CD was carefully putted together and that is a genuine craft these days!

5.0 out of 5 stars Babyface isn't the only "Edmonds" family member who can sing, March 1, 2000

After 7 has been bringing the hits since I was in grade school. Who could forget "Can't Stop" or the classic slow jam "Ready Or Not". The Kevon Edmonds debut is long overdue. The album doesn't disappoint at all. Babyface even helps his brother with some writing and production. The best moments on this CD are hard to choose because every song is on point. The best songs are the current single, "24/7", "No Love", "A Girl Like You", "Love Will Be Waiting", and "Never Love You". Kevon Edmonds has a gem on his hands. Anyone who likes good r&b music should add "24/7" to their collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where's my first review!, January 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
I've already posted a review of this CD and it wasn't posted, which irks me in a way, because obviously people have been buying and like this CD. No one would know it however, because their reviews are not posted. Whatever! I'm posting another, and I'm glad it gives me the opportunity to bump up my review to five stars. This is truly an excellent CD. This is the kind of CD you play from Track 1 and you just keep going, however, the standout tracks are How Often, Baby Come To Me, and the incredibly gorgeous A Girl Like You. I also really like the funky beat and lyrics for Anyway. Kevon sounds like Babyface in a way, but his voice is more pure and clear and his falsetto sends chills through my spine. I saw him here at a small concert in NYC, and not only does he sound terrific live, he's incredibly fine to boot. Go, Kevon! Great work.

Its so AMAZING ! You love every track and its all that and much much more. Get it at once or you will miss the album of the year. When you like Babyface's "The Day" then you'll love this one. Words fail me, cause its the best CD I ever bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars croon (kroon) v. 1. to deliver a song like Kevon Edmonds, November 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
Kevon Edmonds has an amazing voice and from the first note of the first cut, I knew I'd made a wise purchase. When Kevon Edmonds tells you, "He'll never love you, not like I love you," I'm sure any woman is convinced of just that. Kevon is at his best when crooning ballads and his first tenor range delivers them beautifully. His debut effort is on the mark. Tracks one and two provide a strong opening, but each arrangement is tight. 'No love,' and 'How Often,' are among my personal favorites, but each track follows the previous perfectly. There is something about his phrasing, his runs, that has always reminded me a little of Whitney Houston--moreso than reminding me of his equally talented brother. His vocals are powerful and full of emotion. He has always had excellent control of the pipes, seemingly getting better and better with each project. This project is sure to do well and I hope that Kevon will be around crooning for years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this album!, February 27, 2005
This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
I think that this album and artist were woefully overlooked. This album has it all, happiness, loneliness, hopefulness, and sexiness. It truly is a 'sleeper' album because it did not get the press that it deserved. This artist's vocal style is sexy and discernable (even though he is an older brother of Baby Face). As a former member of the defunct group After 7, you know that he has the ballads wrapped up for the romantics while the up beat songs catch you off guard with their production quality. Buy it, you will thoroughly enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beyond Expectations, January 29, 2000

From the moment I picked up the CD, I knew I WASN'T going to be jerked! Kevon delivers every song on demand. From the first cut (my favorite) to the last, Kevon's freshman effort is beyond expectation. His songs will make you think when you're alone, make you smile if you're in love, and make you sing your heart out once you've learned the words. I'm ecstatic he's finally put forth a solo project and it's a part of my collection. This is a "gotta-have-it" CD. Take my word-your money will NOT go to waste. So what he's Babyface's brother --- the man has a style of his own.
