"24: Behind the Scenes" is a book featuring an inside look at the hit television drama "24." The text is by Jon Cassar, with photos by Jon Cassar, Rodney Charters, ASC CAC, and many of the filmmakers of "24." It includes a foreword by main star Kiefer Sutherland.


The photos in here are delightful, revealing and a true treat for fans. You'll find everything in here from action shots to off-set looks at the cast and crew as they really are. You'll find a variety of photo-styles taken with a variety of camera. Jon Cassar's comments are enjoyable and reveal additional background information.

This book is laid out with photo sections for all of the first five seasons of the program, all that were available at press-time. Also included are sections for Making "24," Production Design and Celebrity Guests (visitors to the set have included John Mayer, Eva Langoria and even Rush Limbaugh.)


This book finishes off with a nice bonus disc featuring commentary from the people who made the book. If you're a true fan of "24," you need to se this.

I really appreciate the quality of this book of pictures and information about 24. It gives a great sense of how the show is put together and lots of informal shots of the cast and crew. It recaps each season and gives the reader insight into the different camera angles and thought that go behind some of the most memorable scenes of this ground breaking series. Definitely a great investment for any fan of 24 and Kiefer Sutherland,

I don't normally review things, but this book was *so* good, I just had to share my feelings!

Right now this is quite possibly the best gift you can any '24' fan - it's even up-to-date through season 5. It's packed full of high resolution photos (none are grainy or blurry) detailing behind-the-scenes events, actors goofing around, and what I call "fictionally realistic" events. The latter being photos that are true to the fictional event in question, with no third-party distractions in them - similar to film stills, but with much better quality.

For the '24' obsessed fan, this book is truly beyond 5 stars!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Well worth buying. Loved the insider details about how filming and capturing certain scenes is done. Really helps you appreciate the hard work and effort that goes into making this incredible show what it is. Not surprisingly, Kiefer does most of his own stunts!

I bought this book for my wife - a Kiefer freak - and she loves it. It is not just pictures but additional material written about the characters. The included DVD is nice also. Good information on there.

This beautiful book captures the flavor of the show and the delight that Jon Cassar and others feel from being part of it. It draws the viewer into that comaraderie and is totally enjoyable.

This book really is a fantastic collection of photos taken over the course of the making of Seasons 1-5. If you're a hardcore 24 fan then you will really appreciate this book. The book is divided into the five seasons and has some great behind-the-scenes looks at the cast and crew, along with some great little chunks of insight from (usually) Jon Cassar about how they crafted the stories, characters, sets, etc. . The bonus Production Design and Making 24 chapters are excellent as they have more information about the process of creating the show.

My only gripe with this book is that it is so heavily focused on the photos, and I would have preferred a little more information about the behind-the-scenes. The bonus "Behind The Scenes" DVD is a 7-minute mini-doco with Jon Cassar explaining how the idea for the book came about.

If you can't get enough of 24, and love seeing beautifully captured behind the scenes photos, then you need to buy this book. If, however, you are looking for an in-depth read on the making of the show, you might want to reconsider.

I bought this book for my boyfriend for Christmas.... and ended up reading the whole thing the night I was supposed wrap it. What a great, comprehensive, informative book! This book is very complete and has a ton of great pictures and information/trivia that fans want to know! Any 24 fan would love to own this !

A great book. Shows stunning photos of the TV show "24" being filmed for seasons 1-3. I highly recommend it for any true "24" fan.

Excellent content for 24 fans, from Season 1 to Season 5, with plenty of professional pictures of very high artistic quality, to get insights into the show cast, crew and into some of the most challenging scenes.
You have a look at off screen actors relaxing and having fun while waiting for the next shot or discussing about it or trying to focus on their lines.
Finally you feel the strength of that "24 family" Kiefer Sutherland writes about in his nice foreword of the book.
Also excellent quality of the editorial format.
