I now own 24-Carat Commericals for kids, and Magnificent Monologues for kids and I am one happy acting teacher! For the past 15 years I have been in the acting business doing commercials, movies, theatre etc. Everytime I took an acting class there were always plenty of scenes and monologues to choose from. But when I started teaching children this past spring I began to realize that good contemporary material for kids was hard to come by. I made a few purchases from Amazon.com and Manificent Monoluges for Kids was one of them. Needless to say the kids waited in line to use this book to select a monolgue rather than use the others. I have my own children (ages 6 & 9) and just reading through some of the dialogue I realized that Chambers Stevens knew how to connect with kids. When I received the commercial book I knew within 10 minutes that it was a winner. Chambers is making my job as a teacher easier and much more fun!

When my mother gave me this book I was bummed. But when I read it I was happy! It was funny and very helpful. I followed it and got an agent. And then I got a Pepsi commercial. I think 24 CARAT COMMERCIALS is great!

I bought this for my son, as well as the scene book for kids, and he hasn't put them down! They're a really good resource for kids who are interested in acting. I've also noticed that his memorization skills have improved since I got him these books. If you have a child interested in acting, I highly recommend both books.

All of Chambers' books are great and this one is no exception. It's full of useful information about getting into commercials. Practice the commercials in the book and go audition!

Get this book if you want to be ready to audition for commercials. Read it and practice the material and you will be ready to book. I would recommend it to anyone. It works!!!

This book has helped us improve our acting skills. The commercials are fun to act out and there are so many to choose from. This book is one you should own if you are new or old to this business.

I found this book to be tremendously helpful when I took my daughter to a talent search over the summer. The commercial she did was not only age appropriate, but witty and clever. I found that many of the children who performed commercials and monologues all used books written by Chambers. His books are not only great sources of information on commercials and monologues, but they are great sources of information for parents trying to get their children into the industry. If anyone is interested in having their children in any form of acting, these books are a must have!
