Enjoyed the series greatly. Wife & I watched it together over a few weeks/months. It is awesome to be able to watch the series in such a way without having to wait weeks for the TV show to develop. Did not give 5 Stars as the 24 Season 6/7 Redemption DVD was not included. Somehow, should have known it was not included, but having series 1-7 not include the movie in between series 6 & 7 keeps it from having 5 stars.

From the very first season until last episode of the seventh, 24 will keep you on the edge of your seat. I personally, can not get enough. For anybody who hasn't seen it, you won't stop until you watched it all and you'll want more. And while you have to wait, you want to watch these seasons over and over again. Jack Bauer is a true american hero. 24 should will go down as one of the all time greatest shows. I can't wait for season 8. You can pretty much find a synopsis about the show anywhere but if you're reading this, I'm sure you'll buy the show. Ask yourself,"What would Jack do?"

24 is by far the best thing to come out of a television in the last 30 yrs and before that I wouldn't remember. The character of Jack Bauer never lets you down and you can always expect him to do something, or anything. I bought this set for 150.00 and it is a great value for the amount of entertainment on it. The only drawback with this particular set is the discs do not have the breakdown of episodes on the disc face, it only tells you what season and the number of that disc. This is a minor thing to complain about and it doesn't take away from the show of course. It will be a sad day when this show ends.

I bought this on a recommendation of a friend, I never really got into when they aired originally, I have "Bones" and "CSI NY"

It seems to be very good I am midway between season 2 at the moment, written by the same people who bought you "Le Femme Nikita" on USA network, it shares obvious similar styles.

The product is very good value for money I paid $161, (note that season 1 by itself is $47.49) , so if you can afford it, buy it all at once.
I will not get into plots/criticms/etc, my comment is on the product itself.

a) DO NOT read the backs of any seasons you have not watched, I started reading the text on the back of the season 2 case and it contained a HUGE spoiler, thankfully I had just finished watching season 1 so it was fine, but had I not, it would have really spoiled things.

Lastly, some of the reasons we buy TV shows on DVD is to watch it at our leisure, NO annoying adverts and to watch them back to back.

So far there is no PLAY ALL function on the DVD menu, which I think is a major omission

Honestly I bought this set of dvds because of the great price (thanks Amazon), I never really watched 24 on television. But since me and my gf have started watching it we can't stop watching it!

I'm big on television shows and I must say that this was exceptional. I was hooked for a good two weeks, forgetting to do homework and studying for midterms. But I don't regret a moment

I think it goes both ways. There are those who hate the show and those who love it. I think this is a very entertaining and well made TV Show. Jack Bauer is kind of Bruce Willies in Die Hard. If you've never seen the show, then you should get the First Season and Buckle up, because it's going to be a nice ride. My favorite character is Tony Almeida, and I hope in this last season they do him Justice.

Well this pack is the same as buying the seasons individually, there is no specific packaging or extra material.
Go for it if it is cheaper and you want to own all seasons, otherwise nothing special here.

My wife and I knew we wanted to watch the series but could not commit the time to schedule watching a particular show at a particular time. This series started before we got a DVR and we did not have a TIVO.

The picture quality is unreal for DVD. Looks like Blu-Ray! The production quality is like a movie, not at all like any other TV series I have watched.

My son started watching the series at his house before we started and reported back that he was up until the wee hours of the morning watching it because it was down-right addictive. When my wife and I started watching, we were good for 4 shows at a sitting. Like I said, we don't like to schedule time for a TV series. We MAKE time for this series, into the wee hours of the morning.

Great characters, actors, picture quality and plot. No hiccups on playback. All and all, it doesn't get any better than this.

Kinda hard to go wrong with the price on this set if you do not own any seasons. Only issue is that Redemption is not included and that the first season is just a repackaged version of the original release and not the special edition that came out a few years ago. The set itself is 47 discs spread out as follows:

24: Day One-6 discs (repackaged original release, NOT SPECIAL EDITION!)
24: Day Two-7 discs
24: Day Three-7 discs
24: Day Four-7 discs
24: Day Five-7 discs
24: Day Six-7 discs
24: Day Seven-6 discs

Day One in the set is light on special features as it's just a reissued back from a time when TV shows on DVD were just starting to catch on. Day Two to Day Six all have a seventh disc loaded with special features as well as additional features on the episode discs as well. As for Day Seven it's only six discs but this time around the features are spread around on all the discs.

If you don't own any season sets of 24 yet this'll be a great purchase for you. There's also still plenty of time to get caught up before the release of the final season in December. If you are looking for more detailed reviews of the seasons then keep your eyes open. I'll be reviewing all the currently released seasons in the coming weeks ^_~
