About the Author

Dennis Genpo Merzel is the founder of Kanzeon Sangha and is the abbot of Kanzeon Zen Center in Utah. As the spiritual head of Maezumi Roshi's White Plum Sangha, Genpo Roshi is one of the highest ranking among American Buddhists. Genpo Roshi's other books include The Eye Never Sleeps (0877735697) and Beyond Sanity and Madness (0-8048-3035-5, Tuttle).

Good book that can be read straight through or savored slowly, perhaps daily. Previously I had read his The Eye Never Sleeps which is one of the books to have if you are looking for some meaning to your life. Simple but profound. 24/7 Dharma: Impermanence, No Self, Nirvana. Although I slightly preferred his Eye Never Sleeps, this little book is shorter and has many wonderful pearls of wisdom within. Wonderful and inspiring reading.
