I was thrilled when I saw that this game was available in an "instructional led format". I have played this game with thousands of children all over the world with simply a deck of cards. However, I like the advances and structure provided within this game. It really teaches children at an early age the patterns and simplicity of math. These are skills that they can use throughout life in non-mathmatical ways as well. I now purchase "24" as a standard birthday gift for all of our friends. BTW, I reference it as an ancient Chinese game only because I know several Chinese people who play this game and they are the ones who taught me. We can learn a lot from people all over the world on "better" or alternative ways of learning the basics.
