HILARIOUS AND COOL,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: 24 Girls in 7 Days (Hardcover)
I just finished this book..its the coolest..and it's really funny too and keeps you guessing.
You are going to wonder throughout the book who Jack will take to prom--altho some obviously won't get picked judging by the dates which provides the humor in the book. The story basically is Jack has a lousy date life and then his friends place an ad for him to get a prom date and they get around 40 applicants and narrow the list down to 24 for him to date in 7 days..hence the title. Throughout the book Jack keeps getting e-mails from a "Fancypants" who he is mysteriously drawn too but she won't say who she is..read the book and find out which one of Jacks ladies "Fancypants" is and who he will take to prom! I highyl recommend this book--especially if you are looking for a fun summer read.

The Bachelor Meets High School!,
This review is from: 24 Girls in 7 Days (Hardcover)
Jack Grammar wants nothing more than to go to the prom with his dream girl Pamela. But when he blows his chance, his best friends Natalie and Percy take matters into their own hands. They place an ad in the school paper declaring what a great prom date Jack would make. What started out as a semi-joke turns into to a full fledge date-a-thon with the many applicants vying for Jack's affection and chance to go to prom. The situation seems like every guys dream, but Jack isn't having much fun. In fact, he's more interested in talking to the mysterious FancyPants whose been sending him anonymous e-mails and making out with his best friend.
I couldn't put this book down trying to figure out who would be his ultimate prom date. Jack is a great character. Girl readers will fall in love with him and boy readers will find him relatable. This hilarious book is one you shouldn't pass up!

24 girls 7 days,
A Kid's Review

Book Review- 24 girls in 7 days
The book 24 girls in 7 days is about a senior boy names Jack Grammar in high school who does not want to go to prom. He feels that prom is just a waste of time and since he can not go with the one girl he dreams of going with there is no reason at all. Then one day he reads the school newspaper and finds an add posted by his two best friends Percy and Natalie about him saying he needs a date to the prom and anyone who would like to accompany him may e-mail him. After what seemed to be forever Jack had gone through some hard times and then decides he doesn?t want to go to the prom but he then decides to go with this one girl who has had him on her mind all week. 24 girls in 7 days clearly had too many good parts to name one as just my favorite. However I have to narrow it down it would be when Jack finally finds out who Fancy Pants is. Not only did the book make Jack anxious but it made me anxious too. The whole book all I wanted to know was who Fancy Pants was and why was she giving Jack all this advice. However once Jack and I start getting clues and putting them together like pieces of a puzzle we both come to a conclusion of who this mysterious girl is. Not only was it a relief but it was a good feeling too, and it was a main part in the story. Out of the many books like 24 girls in 7 days or similar books I have read this one would have to be up at the top of my list. First of all right from the beginning when it was explained in class I knew this would be an interesting book, just the way of the set-up. Another thing is that this book clearly kept me reading. So many things went on in the book all I wanted to do was to know what was going to happen. Although there were parts that gave some tips for boys about girls it still was a good book. Also, 24 girls in 7 days when hearing the title in class everyone wasn?t quite sure about the book but my teacher told us It wasn?t like that although it was a catchy title. All in all if you like those dating type movies, books, etc. or you just want a good book to read this is the perfect book.

One pretty good book,
By Jane Doeington "J.D." (New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 24 Girls in 7 Days (Hardcover)
This is a great book about a senior named Jack, whose friends love him so much, they set him up and blah blah read the book to find out the rest. Jack is an adorable character with friends that will probably remind you of your own. 24 Girls in 7 Days has a great plot, but gets somewhat repetitive. Another setback of the book was that the ending was kind of random. And it was THE END. Otherwise, it's a great book with familiar characters. You'll feel like its prom all over again.

Definitely worth reading!,

I stumbled across this in the library and took a break from Chuck Palahniuk to check it out -- it was surprisingly wonderful. I seriously could not put it down. The characters are fully developed and the writing is solid. The protagonist/narrator is witty, intelligent, and likeable, yet flawed enough to make him human (sort of reminiscent of Olive in Easy A, if I had to compare). More than likely you'll find yourself rooting for a particular girl to "win" Jack; this is definitely an engaging read. I would highly recommend it.

This book is so good. It's not "literature" and it'll never be a classic, even in the young adult genre, but there's just something about it that is so funny, so sweet, and just keeps me coming back for me. I often re-read books, but there are very few books that I've read almost 10 times, and oddly enough this is one of them. It always puts me in a good mood and can make me smile on the worst of days. I checked it out the library half a dozen times before I gave in and just bought it. It won't change your life, but you'll have a pretty happy few hours.

The Beginings of Understanding Love!!!!,

After being rejected by a girl Jack Gammar asked to go to the prom senior prom; his best friends Natalie and Percy , place a personal advertisement in the online school newspaper. Since there is only a week before prom since so many girls responded they decide that Jack will at least have to go out with 24 girls; since there are only 7 days in a week thats how the plans name came about 24 girls in seven days or operation 24/7. Also, while this operation is in action a mysterious girl who goes by Fancypants leads hints and clues along the way of some major secrets.
My absolutly favorite part of this book is when Jack goes on a date with Laura Gillden and after he arrives home he gets a huge surprise. First he is drunk and then he sees these two drunk girls that are slowly driving by that say " Hey Jack can we both be your prom dates?". Also, while they are driving by across the topless chests they have written on one girl "C K" and on the other "J A" then the relize that they were backwards and it then says "JACK". I love books with humor, romance, and a little mystery. Let me say that this book turely covers it all and by far is one of my absolute favorites. After reading how Jack dates the girls it really makes me think about what type of person I am and what person I will want to date. Also, how a relationship with someone can really effect someone's life. So if this book sounds like something you would read then I would highly recomend it!

Only 24 Hours ........,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: 24 Girls in 7 Days (Hardcover)
24 Girls in 7 Days is the hilarious journey through the one week leading up to Jack Grammar's Senior prom. His two best friends put add in the school news paper for a prom date for Jack. The add starts off as a joke until girls start email him about the add. My favorite part of the book (was very hard to pick) was the introduction to Jack, Percy, and Natalie. The author made them all quick witted and really funny. The intro to the characters makes you love them to the last pages. This book is hilarious with twists and turns that everyone will love. The characters are fresh and very real. I loved every page and was sorry to put it down.

24 Girls in 7 Days,
This review is from: 24 Girls in 7 Days (Hardcover)
24 girls in 7 days. It's every teenage boy's fantasy, or is it? Jack Grammar is just an average kid with straight A's and two best friends. As the end of his senior year creeps closer, so does prom and Jack is desperate for a date. He's never really had a girlfriend and is extremely shy, so after getting turned down by his longtime crush, his best friends Natalie and Percy decide to help him. Without Jack's knowledge, they post a personals add for him on the school's website, and surprisingly, they soon have over 100 responses to it. Percy and Natalie convince Jack to participate in a "Bachelor"-like competiton in which 24 girls are chosen to go on dates with him. There are only 7 days until prom, and Jack must choose one lucky girl to be his date. The adventure that follows is full of kisses, insults, icecream, and a whole lot of surprises.
24 Girls in 7 Days is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I literally did not put it down until I had finished the whole thing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the storyline twisted. That's what turns a good story into a great one. This book is outright hilarious, and really shows how you can change your life for the better. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for love, because it goes to show that sometimes love can be found where you least expect it. |
