I've always loved the thrill of an Advent Calendar. Here is a contemporary take on an old tradition from the French author/illustrator team Jean-Luc Fromental and Joelle Jolivet who brought us the fabulous 365 Penguins. 24 Penguins Before Christmas is modern and fun and very European in its unique 3-D diptych format. The Calendar features the characters from 365 Penguins, and comes with a tiny little book, a page to be read each day corresponding to the advent window and the little surprise dwelling within. Amazon has it right now for a steal.

My daughter received 365 Penguins for her 5th birthday and she and her 3 year old sister absolutely love the book. When I found the advent calender online, I had to buy it. It doesn't disappoint. High quality and engaging, we will be using it again next Christmas!!

I purchased this for my niece. It was really cute her and my sister enjoyed it very much!

We bought two. The kids love them. I expected little toy penguins rather than paper ones, but perhaps I overlooked that in the description. For the price (about Two Dollars, as I recall) with free prime shipping, I'm very happy with it.

I was very excited to see this "advent" calendar because we love the book, 365 Penguins. However, I am not sure how something can be listed as an Advent Calendar and be described as for Christmas, when it is only about penguins. There was nothing to do with Advent or Christmas. Very disappointing. Thank you Amazon for taking it back.
