5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, great value, surprisingly great gift
This product is surprisingly hard to find in the local retail market. I gave them out at a family gathering as somewhat of a gag gift and they were the most treasured, simple gifts welcomed by the youngest to the oldest. They are an amazing value and beat the plastic swatter junk - swatters down!

Enoz Fly Swatter (R38.288)

This product is identical to the Willert Home Prod. R38 Fly Swatter, also sold by Amazon. This listing is for 24 of them, which is just over a buck apiece.

Pros:

- they work OK if you don't swing too hard, in which case it can be damaged. E.g., if you swing at something in mid-air and miss, the handle and screen frequently bends. It's easy to straighten by hand, but it should be stronger. Also, be careful of whacking against things that aren't flat, such as a bed-post, which can distort the screen of this type of swatter.

- screen head has little air resistance and is sufficiently large to whack that insect.

- inexpensive: less than a buck apiece with shipping as of this writing.

Cons:

- 12 gauge steel wire handle (.080" diameter) should be stronger, as it bends way too easily.

- We have a similar very old fly swatter that has a stiffer handle and a better wire-to-swatter-head connection (wire makes an extra inward-turn for strength) and is stapled over for rigidity. The Enoz wire simply pokes into the head, with the wire mesh folded over, which allows the head to wobble.

Summary:

Two stars for quality, with an extra star for value.

I know it sounds silly, but i love this flyswatter! All i could get in any store around here were the wimpy plastic kind with the weak handle. They bend too much to actually kill a fly. BUT NOT THIS ONE--IT KILLS THEM DEAD! It's strong enough to get some force behind the blow. It was worth buying an entire box to get swatters that actually work. Now i keep them around the different places where i sit where flys bother me, and WhaLah! I highly recommend this swatter.

These fly swatters are garbage (literally - I tossed them!) The swatting area is made of a bendable metal which compromises the flat surface...making it even more difficult to nail the little buggers. I will look for the more sturdy plastic or rubber type.

Excellent quality. Gave 1 to each of my family members. They love them. Just like the old fashioned flyswatters, just a little lighter.
