She got this present for her 2nd birthday. She just had her 5th birthday and it is still her favorite toy. It's become part of my kitchen floor. I have her take it apart when I mop and then she quickly puts it back together.
I am so glad that I bought this for her.

My 3 yr. old daughter is autistic. This is the 7th Melissa & Doug puzzle we have bought. Thanks to these puzzles, she has developed her attention span and motor skills as well as her speech! She never gets bored with them and she has developed several different techniqes for putting them together. As other parents of autistic children know, reaching their children is not an easy task. These puzzles are wonderful therapy tools and children love them. These puzzles are so great for special needs kids, we have even bought some to give to the children's autism interventionist to help others as they have done for us.

We bought this for my 5 year old when she was 2 and she still loves this puzzle. All of her cousins do the puzzle when they come over and now her younger sister loves it too. It has held up well for all the use it has gotten!

I bought this for my 3-year-old niece, who lives in California and shipped it to her for her birthday. She loves it, and my sister has used it to teach her all her animals and barnyard sounds. It has also fostered creative play, as they play "farm" a lot now whether the puzzle is out or not. The pieces are durable with her younger sister of age 1 in the house and have held up nicely. The best part is that there are enough pieces to keep it challenging while few enough pieces to clean it up quickly from a small space when farm time is over.

Keep the Grand kids entertained while they learn necessary skills with this well built and educational floor puzzle. Easily assembled while offering great learning opportunities.

I purchased this puzzle to use with a class of Kindergarteners. They love it! We just finished a farm theme and this puzzle obviously fit perfectly. The kids would work in a small group of three or four and put the puzzle together. Some kids also decided they wanted to put the puzzle together by themselves. One plus is that the pieces are extra thick. This puzzle has been used A LOT, and it is still in great condition.

We have 4 of these Lights, Camera... Interaction floor puzzles for our son. He started with them in the winter when outdoor activities are limited. He was about 1 year and 9 months then, and very quickly this became a favorite daily ritual. It built eye-hand coordination and dexterity, associative skills, naming skills, and of course self-confidence. After a few days he was able to do them by himself, always following a certain pattern (like starting with the tractor, its tires, then the sheep, etc). Soon he learned to identify edge and corner pieces. By having several puzzles, over time the lessons for puzzling became generalized. After the puzzle is complete, he does a "puzzle dance" to celebrate, stomping on the completed work of art! This is a wonderful indoor activity, assuming one has enough floor space or a very firm carpet to spread it out. Also makes a great gift. Melissa & Doug, who make the puzzles, should be thanked and congratulated on an affordable, durable starter puzzle.

My 2-1/2-year-old son has learned so much from this simple puzzle: lessons in looking at and focusing on what's before him, comparison (between box and pieces), sequence (what comes next?), patience, and following through to complete a task (who can leave a puzzle unfinished?). Now he can do the whole thing himself, which makes him feel so proud!

The pieces are nice and large, and because they're much thicker than most cardboard puzzles, they're also quite durable. He puts it together at least once a day, and when he sees the same puzzle at a friend's house, he wants to do it there, too. The price was a pleasant surprise - it's worth far more than [the price].

I have had my elementary students 'help me' put this puzzle together....then I have puzzle glued it and put on a hard backing.
Now I have a beautiful large picture of a farm that the entire class can see. We identify the animals and other items in the picture. There are many things to see and so easy because it is bright and large. This is my second puzzle 'picture'. Other teachers have asked me where I got my picture..it's great! The kids love it because it is so filled with visual information. I have one for my classroom and one that I gave to my grandson.

My almost 3-year-old loves puzzles and this one is his new favorite. I am impressed at how toddler-friendly the picture is. He loves finding the sheep, then the cows, then the sky, then the barn, etc. It has wonderful educational value and is excellent for working on spatial relations. The best part is when my son starts getting hyper and out of control, I get out this puzzle and he will calm right down and focus intently on doing this puzzle. He also learns about persistence through failure saying "Nope, doesn't go here. How about this way? Nope, not that way. etc." He has other puzzles, but this one is fun because it goes on the floor and is a fun picture. Seems pretty durable so far too.
