This CD is titled 25 because it is the 25th anniversary collection of Cirque du Soleil. The 2 CDs have altogether 25 songs on it, one song from every of Cirques 25 productions (based on their count). The songs from the shows chosen for this collection are not necessarily the best songs from those shows. If you are looking for a "best of" collection, go and buy the actual "best of" album, which is also available here at Amazon.com.

Since the collection includes all of their 25 productions to this day, does this CD release include some tracks from shows where no sound track CD is available yet(= previously unreleased material). This includes the tracks for the shows "Zed", "Criss Angel - Believe" and "Ovo".

I would not recommend the CD to everybody. I think that the targeted audience for this CD release are long time and hard core Cirque du Soleil fans and not the general public. The music is not bad, but several of their individual soundtracks and of course their Le Best of Cirque du Soleil album are IMO better than this one.

I am a huge Cirque du Soleil fan and have seen over seven shows in the last decade [that's all I could afford, or I'd have seen more]. This compilation of what they consider to be the best of the last 25 years is a wonderful audio experience, even though I find that I don't agree with the 'best' that they chose to profile in CD. It's still lovely and better than nothing when I can't just go to a show!
