Ok. I must say that I'm a bit partial to this CD: My entire childhood can be defined by Veggietales songs. Every trip to softball practice in the fourth grade meant a listen to Veggietales, and now that I'm a junior in college, I can still recall every single word to most if not all of these songs. I love them!
But that, of course, may mean nothing to a new listener. It's easy to love something that was a comfort and friend to you as a child. However, I feel very confident that children today will love these songs too, especially if they have the video to watch with them (however, it must be said that the viewing of the video is not required for enjoyment). These songs are classics: fun, catchy, and positive. Not only do they teach good morals "Love Your Neighbor" but they also are ridiculously fun and silly, "I Love My Lips". Everyone I know from my mother's age to my elementary school-age brother knows "The Hairbrush Song", "The Water Buffalo Song", "I Love My Lips", and even "The Song of Cebu." This means that this makes it the perfect CD for a family with younger and older kids, or for times when I want to take my brother out and about. Finally a CD we can both enjoy! Definitely buy this collection! Fun and thoughtful lyrics with catchy beats and melodies will have everyone in the room smiling big and singing along!

An outstanding collection of classic VeggieTales music!,

"25 Favorite Very Veggie Tunes" is exactly what the title says. This album bring together the very best songs (and, in fact, nearly every single song) from the first nine VeggieTales episodes, from "Where's God When I'm S-S-Scared?" to "Josh and the Big Wall." For VeggieTales fans, every song in this collection will no doubt be a familiar favorite.
For all basic purposes, "Very Veggie Tunes" serves as a new compilation album of the first two Veggie Tunes albums. It features nearly every song from both albums, with only a few omissions. "Some Veggies Went to Sea" is the only track missing from the first album's track list. From the second album, the Larry-Boy theme song and "The Lord Has Given" are excluded. These songs are not missed as they are short and not particularly memorable, save for perhaps the Larry-Boy Theme Song. One final and unfortunate omission is the "What Have We Learned Song." I'm not quite sure why this song is not included, given that it is an iconic VeggieTales song, and would certainly be considered a "favorite Veggie Tune." It's absence here is unfortunate, but given the extremely strong line-up of the rest of the album, it's a fault that is easily overlooked. Overall, "25 Favorite Very Veggie Tunes" is among the best Veggie Tales albums ever released. It is an excellent compilation of the first two Veggie Tunes albums. All the songs are humorous and fun to listen too and, in addition to the iconic Silly Songs, many feature good Christian morals. "25 Favorite Very Veggie Tunes" is the perfect album for kids who are fans of the series now and is also extremely fun and nostalgic for those who grew up with VeggieTales. The exclusion of the "What Have We Learned" song is the only fault, and it is easily overlooked. Otherwise, it is an extremely fun and solid collection of classic Veggie Tunes!
