Broke second time I used it. I took it apart. It's even cheaper inside than it looks on the outside.

I used this leash once and it broke immediately. The plastic brake literally flew off the handle when my dog started to pull (I have an 80 lb dog but he had not even started to pull hard yet). Since it said "lifetime warranty" I thought I would give it another shot. They were helpful with my concerns and sent me a new leash within a couple of days. The first time I used this one it broke as well, in a different spot. The part that hooks to the dog collar seperated from the retractable rope immediately. I would definitely not recommend this product and I am waiting for my refund. Don't waste your time, I did twice.

The "heavy duty" retractable dog leashes I bought from Amazon are of very poor quality, fail to retract the leash and are a very poor imitation of a similar well known and branded product. I am very disappointed and will never buy anything from the site unless I can first identify it by brand. I got ripped off. Do not under any circumstances buy this product. It does not deserve one star.

Cheap look and feeling, the blocking system stopped working on the 2nd day of use. Don't buy.

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews of this product. It would not retract. Had to take it apart to fix. First time out it broke where the leash and cord connect. I fixed the cord to my old leash then the cord broke away from the reel. My dog is not aggressive,rescued him from a three and half year kennel stay. He sometime doesn't connect with the come command. That is why I bought this leash to help me in our training . The cord just broke away when it came to the end of the reel. It took us three hours to find our dog. The leash is now in the trash!

I bought this leash over a year ago at an even cheaper price than this. I previously had one of those smaller leashes that wore out a couple months after I bought it. My dog could never make up her mind which way she wanted to go. So I found this one and thought at this price, how can you go wrong? I love it. It's totally worth it. I would definitely consider it heavy-duty and highly recommend it!

Really cheap build quality. Broke within one week of use. Lead snapped off from main housing. Poor quality knock-off. Not worth risking your pet getting loose.

I used it for a few weeks before it broke. The rope does not retract that well and eventually got all jammed up inside and will not come out or go back in. Spend a few more bucks and get a good one.

This product worked great for about six months. We have a Miniature Schnauzer that weighs 18 lbs. and the locking mechanism quit working completely so I had to buy a new one at the pet store. For the price I expected the quality to be much better.
