Once they start glowing, LumiStick brand Premium glow light sticks will last you all night. They will glow super bright for 8 - 12 hours. Then, they will start to fade out but may continue to emit some light for up to 36 hours. These LumiStick brand glow light sticks are fresh from the factory. They come directly from the factory and were manufactured just a few weeks ago. We are constantly getting new shipments from the factory, so you know these are as fresh and new as they come. They have a shelf life of 2 years. Inside the glow light sticks are two chemicals that emit light or glow when they are mixed together. Inside the glow light sticks is a thin glass tube, when you bend it for the first time, you break the inner glass tube. This mixes the two chemicals together. Just shake it up and presto -- it starts glowing like magic! Lumistick brand glow light stick glow-in-the-dark products are non-toxic. They are not radioactive and they are not flammable. They almost never break open, but if they do, the chemicals inside can be washed off skin and clothes with ordinary soap or detergent.

Glow sticks work well. Photo in add shows 5 colors, only received 3 colors. Add says assorted colors, thought it was an assortment of ALL colors. Oh well.

Photo is not of product. I am sure they will glow and I dont care about the color assortment BUT because they are not made like the ones pictured they are useless for how I needed to use them. Not happy at all.

I purchased these glow sticks for a beach party and they were not what I expected. They provided the desired glow only for about 15 min. and then quickly when down from there, about a 65% to 80% loss of brightness depending on the color. Most of them held a tiny glow for up to 6 hours but the fun was gone after they failed to produce the desired light. I have done this beach party for over 20 years and expect glow sticks to hold up to a minimum of 3 hours in 65 to 75 degree weather.

I do not recommend these even though they are cheap. The sticks are very dim. Def not worth your money.
