At first glance this seems to be a comprehensive book of facts regarding mortgages, loans, and foreclosures but beyond being a total snooze-fest, it really wasn't that helpful. Many of the answers to the 250 questions seem contradictory and confusing. We found ourselves having more questions after reading the book than before. And frankly, the title is misleading. There really aren't that many helpful tips geared towards avoiding foreclosure, just a lot of information regarding loan and banking laws and regulations. 50 of the 250 questions is a single question asked repeatedly of each of the 50 states (and there are 69 questions regarding bankruptcy). Not only was it a cheesy way to pad the book title, we still don't understand the 'homestead law' as it applies to the state of California.

This was a frustrating waste of money; not at all the book we thought it was going to be.
