250FT 16GAUGE In-wall Speaker Wire

I needed enough wire to run a total of 150ft to my outdoor speakers, although this would leave me with plenty of extra, I found it much cheaper to buy this rather than purchasing 150ft from a retail store. The wire is protected very nicely; I was rather surprised by the amount of protection.

you can tell that these are great wiring and will work as described the minute you get wiring in your hands. the plastic around the actually speaker wires is nice and thick. i ran the wires 90ft and everything still sounds great.

Great quality wire. The insulation covering the wire is very thick and durable. It's a great price for 250 FT of wire.

I just bought this cable to replace existing "RCA AH16100SN 100 Ft. 16-Gauge Speaker Wire" and the RCA seems to have more strands of higher quality copper. I didn't notice any change in the sound after replacing the cables, but that maybe because the maximum distance of the each cable run is less than 25ft for the 7.1 setup and that I didn't blast my Onkyo receiver at max 135watts.

While the black outer insulation is sturdy and will protect from running cables, the RCA cable has just as durable outer "clear" shell. In fact, the black cable didn't include any "shielding" either so won't be preventing or lowering any RF interference.

If I had to do this again, I would buy more of the 100ft RCA cables and save some money while also getting potentially higher quality copper strands.

As someone else stated my real also came broken but I put a little glue and put it back together. Looks like they don't glue the two pieces together with enough glue which causes it to break off one of the sides. The wire looks good as everyone else states.

I installed The SIIG 16GA In-Wall Speaker Wire for my Home Theater System. The Spool says it's UL CL2-rated but there is no UL logo which means it's not UL "approved". Also the Wire itself is not labeled at all. I ran out of SIIG Wire and finished the project with SKYLINE 16GA In-Wall Speaker Wire. The Skyline is significantly more flexible. The Skyline spool has the UL CL-2 LOGO on it AND the Speaker Wire itself is printed with with the Gauge, Strands, and UL info. The most interesting thing was that the Skyline seemed to have less copper in it compared to the SIIG. The Skyline wires were Black & Red. The SIIG wires were Black & White. Personally I felt they both were adequate for Home Stereo use. The SIIG says it has a Lifetime Warranty and that it's made in China. The Skyline does not say where it's made. That being said, I'm not sure HOW you could make a claim later on the SIIG since the wire is completely without labeling anywhere on it whatsoever.

Product arrived on a roll. Making it easy to handle and install. "In-wall" specification keeps this home wiring project up to code.

Very suprised by the amount of insulation on this wire. It should last a very long time!

Seems like a quality product to me. I got about twice the amount of wire for the same price i would have paid at the local big box store.

Buying a product like this makes me realize what a silly rip off the entire Monster Cable product line is. Speaker wire is a commodity. You buy the correct gauge and type and that's that. This stuff is high quality. I ran it through walls and ceilings. I is heavy duty and fire resistant. I have a huge spool left over that I will probably be using for the rest of my life.
