Old fashioned automatic level systems use a lever between the frame and the axle to determine level and ride height. Most competitive levers are hard to mount and calibrate, and prone to failure. Now Air Lift solves the problem with SmartAir, an exclusive automatic leveling system that has no contact arm. This on board air compressor system inflates, maintains, and controls air springs on your vehicle for maximum convenience and leveling on-the-go. Quick and easy to install, SmartAir comes with a fully illustrated instruction manual and requires no lines to the cab. SmartAir does not work with coil-sprung vehicles or Air Lift 1000 adjustable air helper springs.

The leveling system in SmartAir works by sensing when the system is not level – either too low or too high – and automatically returns to the desired set ride height. The unique non-contact height sensor maintains a level ride, no matter what, under any road or load conditions. Each SmartAir kit includes everything you need to fill and control air pressure in your air springs — a pre-assembled wiring harness, electronic sensor system, and compressor.

Do I Need Single or Dual Path Control?
Purchase a single path/sensor model if you want to level your load evenly (to raise or lower the front or rear end of your vehicle). Two springs will inflate at the same rate at the same time.

Purchase a dual path/sensor model (kit number 25430) for uneven loads that need adjustment from one side of the vehicle to the other or for more advanced leveling capability. You can either control two air springs independently (for side-to-side leveling) or you can split the line to control a full set of four air springs, two at a time (side-to-side or front-to-rear).

I've go two of these systems installed. They work like a charm, hold vehicle height within about 1/2" of set level. They're compatible with any air spring. And they're not $1000 each like some other electronic level controls.

I installed the air-lift system and it all works great. my truck rides better both with the 5th wheel camper connected and empty. i did have one problem installing the height sensor on the spring. the "U" clamp was not long enough, so i had to buy one at the local hardware store for only $5.

This is so much better than adding/removing air every time the 5th wheel is connected, plus it is more accurate and self levels as the ground conditions change.
