Absolutely horrible!,

Anyone who writes that this is a good album obviously was not around when the original versions were made by the ORIGINAL members of the band. This is trash, pure and simple. It is also just a shameless ploy to try and wring more money out of people that are too stupid to realize that they are being taken. Don't buy this album!!!

Economy recording to fulfill a contract. These songs lack the power of the originals, but again, this AIN'T Molly Hatchet! I know Ingram own's the name, but that doesn't make him Dave Hlubek. This band has three excellent albums of their own and should stick to their material.

New Insights With A New Lineup,
By A Customer
This review is from: 25th Anniversary: Best of Re-Recorded (Audio CD)
Most hardcore Molly Hatchet fans, as well as people who take pride in having a neat living space, are probably going to consider this little more than an unnecessary item to provide unneeded clutter. Nothing could be further from the truth. 25TH ANNIVERSAY: BEST OF RE-RECORDED is one of those rare cases where re-recorded songs by an established band's current lineup not only averts disaster, but provides new insights into the meanings of the songs themselves. There are a couple of new songs here to give some idea of where the band has been and may be going, and longtime members Bobby Ingram and John Galvin, both of whom worked on ex-Hatchet singer Danny Joe Brown's solo albums before joining Hatchet, provide a sense of continuity. Get this one along with SILENT REIGN OF HEROES, KINGDOM OF XII, and LOCKED AND LOADED.

This is the best introduction to these veteran southern rockers, with great updated versions of the old classics. They sound powerful with the more contemporary sound. Once you get this cd you'll want to look into their back (and future) catalog, and it's all good stuff.
Recommended.

1ST OFF, I KNOW PEOPLE WILL SAY THIS ISNT MOLLY HATCHET. BUT IT IS! BOBBY INGRAM OWNS THE MOLLY HATCHET NAME OUTRIGHT. IT IS HIS! HE COULD SELL MOLLY HATCHET PEANUTBUTTER IF HE WANTED TOO. BUT HE HAS DECIDED TO STAY TRUE TO THE SOUTHERN BOOGIE THAT IS MOLLY HATCHET! THIS LATEST RE-RECORDED ANNIVERSARY CD IS GREAT. HATCHET CLASSIC'S BROUGHT UP TO DATE... AND THEY SOUND GREAT. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SONG (TRACK 14) IS ALL ABOUT???? BUT THE REST OF THIS CD KICKS BUTT. SO HAVE THE LAST 3 HATCHET STUDIO CD'S. DEVIL'S CANYON, SILENT REIGN, & KINGDOM. THEY WERE ALL IN THE MOLLY HATCHET STYLE. I WILL ALSO SAY THAT PHIL McCORMACK IS A MUCH BETTER SINGER THEN JIMMY FARARR WAS. I LIKE JIMMY! BUT IT JUST WASNT THAT OLD HATCHET SOUND. THIS STUFF IS! WITH A KICK IN THE A--. AS LONG AS BOBBY INGRAM & PHIL McCORMACK KEEP THE LEGACY OF MOLLY HATCHET GOING, WHO CARES!! LET THEM BOYS BOOGIE WOOGIE. THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND HAS 1 REMAINING ORIGINAL MEMBER. SINGER DOUG GRAY (SO WHAT) THEY ARE RELEASING A NEW CD IN MARCH, TITLED: BEYOND THE HORIZON. I WILL PURCHASE THAT CD AS WELL. LOOK AT THE LATEST SKYNYRD CD VICIOUS CYCLES. IT'S GREAT!!!!!!! ALL I AM SAYNG PEOPLE IS THIS! IF WE DONT HELP KEEP THESE SOUTHERN BOOGIE WOOGIE BANDS AROUND, THEY ARE GONNA BE GONE!!!!!! DO YOU WANNA LISTEN TO THE TRIPE THAT THEY PLAY ON THE RADIO??? I FOR ONE, DO NOT!! THE SOUTH HAS RISEN AGAIN & IT IS IN THERE MUSIC. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.PS: WAIT TILL YOU HERE HATCHET ADD DIXIE ONTO GATOR COUNTRY ON THIS CD.... MAKES ME FEEL PROUD! AND I'M FROM INDIANA. NUFF SAID..
