I'm not sure if this is literature or a parody of literature, but I can't stop thinking about it, to the extent that after reading all 900 pages of it, I started reading it again. That's a good sign. The subject matter, once the book really gets cranking, is like the worst of the nightly news, in detail. Not for the faint of heart.
