GO CLEVELAND!!, November 4, 2003
Great band, great album, buy it while you can. They are no more. As of October 13th, ETG has broken up. This is a sad time for Cleveland music, because I watched these guys come up in the local scene, change members multiple times, play tiny little bars (anybody out there know what the Grog Shop is?), and steadily rise. Their music is great, and this album is only a snippet of what they wrote and could have released into the music world. Sadly, only a few Clevelanders know the extent of their music. Here's a statement taken from erasethegrey.com regarding the breakup:"10/13/2003 11:24:00 AMI'm sorry, but it's over...Hey everyone. As most of you know by now, ERASE THE GREY has parted ways. It's been coming about for quite sometime now, but it is official. We're all still buds and all, and it really has nothing to do with personal opinions of one another. I mean, in the 2 years ETG has been together we've gone through ALOT of members. Some due to their own personal issues, and some becuz they just couldn't live up to the standard that I was trying to set for ETG. I started this band with the hopes of writing great music, getting signed and getting out there to see the world. Well, we accomplished a great deal of that. We were young to the game and jumped into a record deal that was just WRONG in so many ways. Yeah, we basically got screwed, it was our own fault, and we know that. We did, however, get a deal, tour with Anthrax and Motorhead and got to meet some of the nicest, coolest people i've ever met. So for all of that, I'm greatful. ETG was and will always be, my baby. I thank all of you for making it such a great time." Like I said, buy this album while it is still around, because it is a classic. I'm out.
