In structure modelled after Plato's Symposium it is for the most part a series of speeches that approach giving a panegyric on chastity in a different way.However the content of this is not as clear cut as being simply 'about virginity' but it revolves other subjects around this theme of virginity, particularly with some fascinating exegesis of Scripture and Scriptural themes. Excellent work, just because he isn't a massive name among Church fathers lets not forget Methodius, I encourage reading this work. |
