Quality Comforter,

This review is from: 280-Thread-Count Granite White Down King Comforter (Kitchen)
I bought this comforter for my daughter for Christmas at a fantastic price which I was afraid was going to be too good to be true-the old 'You get what you pay for' maxim. This is definitely a quality item through and through! It has beautiful workmanship and fabric and not a pokey feather to be felt! My daughter is thrilled with it and the fact that she was able to get other gifts since I saved so much on this item!!

You can NEVER trust Amazon's product descriptions. This is another case that proves the rule. The tag on this comforter clearly states that this comforter contains a minimum of 75% down. That leaves 25% FEATHERS.
DOWN is the gold standard. Down alternative comforters and down with feather comforters are NOT DOWN comforters. When feathers are added to the fill, the comforter is not as light and fluffy. While the comforter may in fact contain 50 oz. fill, 50 ounces of 100% down versus 50 ounces of the combination of 75% down and 25% FEATHERS is a MATERIAL difference. Feathers make a scritchy noice and the comforter is flatter. This is probably why some of the reviewers have described this comforter as being "flat." 100% down comforters are pure luxury. When you add feathers to the mix, luxury is not part of the vocabulary--you just have a warm blanket. Another reviewer suggested this comforter has a fill power of 700. This is NOT the case. For the price, this may not be a bad buy if you KNOW you aren't receiving the "real" thing. The fabric is decent and it will be a warm "blanket."

Great quality for the price I paid,

This review is from: 280-Thread-Count Granite White Down King Comforter (Kitchen)
I brought this comforter one week ago when it in a deep discount price ($37). I'm very pleased with its quality. Warm, soft, and the cover looks great. It says Min. 75% down, and I don't feel any feathers. I would like to buy another one, but the price is doubled when I check on the site again.
There are several things for my concern. I do need a 300+ cotton sheet under it to make it more comfortable. (I used a silk comforter with 300 cotton duvet under it.) It maybe too warm for summer, especially for my desert house. The price is fair now (about $70). 2115|R1R8CN7FOF1ECG;2115|RKS35UIWA4QOI;2115|R1QGA9VQVMIKGD;
