Does not diminish the use of phone features,
By
This review is from: 2800mAh Extended Battery fits AT&T Tilt 8925, 8900 HTC TyTN II, P4550, Kaiser, Kaiser100, Kaiser 110, Kaiser 120, T-Mobile MDA Vario III, v1615 (Electronics)
One of the things that I could not find in the description or the reviews was whether or not the new cover had open slots for the speaker and camera, and indeed it does. You can still use the camera while using this cover, and the speaker does NOT get covered. Also, I would like to point out that I have the ATT Tilt and the finish on this cover is more of a flat black matte finish as oppose to the finish that comes on the original battery cover.
The extended battery does make the phone thicker, but makes it easier to use the phone when balancing the phone between your ear and your shoulder when you are not using a bluetooth headset. Also, I personally like the bulkier feel of the phone with the extended battery. The original ATT Tilt without this battery is semi-bulky already, and the increase in bulkiness is well worth the extended battery life.

Update Sep 17, 2009:
I've had this battery for over 7 months now and I haven't had any problems or noticble loss of performance. Original Review Feb 19, 2009: The battery arrived quickly. I'm very happy with it's performance. The original lasted less than one day even when it was new. This one still has 40% or more left at the end of day. I use 3G and automatically check many e-mail accounts all the time. As the product description states, the phone is thicker now, by about 3/16 inch (5 mm) over the battery compartment. Not a problem for me. It's worth the extra running time. I've only been using the new battery for a few weeks now. Hopefully, it will last longer than the 1 year the original lasted. I'll let you know.

After six months of use, I have to say I'm very impressed with the battery. I still have 34% remaining at the end of the day, even with my Tilt checking email every 5-15 minutes. Yes, my cradles and holsters are useless, and the cover is poor quality, but it still stays on despite missing two groove clips. It does take a little longer to charge than the standard OEM battery, but it lasts a lot longer. I once had 3 days standby time while stuck in an EDGE networked area, can your Tilt/TyTN go a day without being charged? If the battery cover were as good as the original supplied by HTC, this would be a 5 star item. I could only be happier if the cover was a better fit and build quality. No TILT/TyTN user should pass up this bargain. Spend less than $15 to save your patience and lose frustrations caused by a useless OEM battery.

The new Cover is not adequate.,

The cover that it comes with is not adequate. The original cover has a plastic lens protector that protects the camera lens, and a metal sound grill that protects the speaker. This new cover has neither of those. Just a hole where the camera lens is, and several holes for the speaker. This leaves the camera lens itself extremely vulnerable to scratches and permanent damage. I put an old screen protector on the inside of the cover to mimic the original cover, but it blurs the camera image.
Also the color of this cover (Light Black) does not match the phone color (Dark Black). I would avoid this and get one with a quality cover.

Works good but very bulky,

It made my phone bulky but extended the battery life. The original battery would last about an hour. Now this battery lasts most of the day. If I use the internet constantly and all the features plus talk on it; it may die within four to six hours of use.The back plate does not stay on to well. For the price it is very good.

The pack was not sealed and so there is a possibility it could have been used when you are buying new. It is bulkier but have the advantage of using the cell phone for long time between charging (considering the fact that i felt regular ones have to be charged frequently). The cover fitted the cell phone well.

This battery was exactly what I was looking for. The existing battery in my AT&T Tilt was lasting about a day and half with the mailbox syncing and web surfing. If I used the cell phone for any length of time it was reduced to less than eight hours. This battery gives me two days worth of operation. The only thing that really drains it is when I tether it to my ASUS tablet. Then it lasts about a day. It comes with a new battery cover to accomodate the extra bulk of the bigger battery. The cover snaps in snugly and its rubberized coating keeps the phone from slipping when set on the car console. It does take longer to charge but that is to be expected. A bigger bucket takes longer to fill. All in all, an excellent product.

Worked well when I tried it. It was 50% charged. Waiting for the larger cover I ordered to arrive before I can use it on a regular basis.

The original battery would not last 8 hours. This replacement will go for at least 2 full days. Well worth it.

Extended life battery for AT&T Tilt 8925,

Battery life is a vast improvement. The weight and are somewhat cumbersome. The reliability factor comes from the apparent lack of proper fit of the battery and/or extended cover. It comes lose and causes the phone to quit functioning until the batter is reseated.
