This product works extremely well, is consistant in its setting and typical of old world German quality workmanship.

It is much better value for the money than some other torque screwdrivers and I like the fact that it comes with a certificate of testing and calibrating that uses 6 tests per setting in several ranges. Mine showed less deviancy from settings than 3% with 1.2% being the average. Many box store devices of this kind claim accuracy of +/-6% and no certificate of testing actually comes with them. The accuracy noted on certificate indicates that it is done on I.V. (indicated value), not FS (full scale) value. This is very important since many other drivers use FS accuracy which gives a false impression of accuracy. Understand this more here....[...] The positive clik disconnect limiting mechanism eliminates the posibility of over torquing a screw or bolt.

An added bonus of this driver is that it works in reverse at an added 50% of the shown torque value. This is extremely helpful when backing off fasteners to retorque at slightly higher settings. It eliminates the need of adjusting the driver or using another driver to do this task. The unique beneffit of this driver is that the adjustment system is internal and done with the tool which accompanies it. This design keeps the internal fine threads of the adjustment mechanism protected if the driver happens to be dropped on the floor. Other drivers typically use an external adjustment like a rotating collar or cap and if this gets any impact, the driver can easily be damaged or at best, require immediate recalibration.

This tool is a must have if you are concerned about doing lasting, quality work. It is very well built and feels like you are holding a BMW. Make sure you order the 1/4" bit holder if you are using that size. Don't be fooled by lesser models! This is inexpensive compared to the cost of any damage you might cause, rookie.

I purchased this tool to torque the cutters on the shelix cutter head on my planer. The tool is well made and works well but the instructions are a bad joke. You really have to figure out how to use the tool and what accessories you will need to allow the tool to do what you need - I had to order a 1/4 inch adaptor to make the tool useful. If instructions had been even average I would have given this tool 5 stars.

This tool was well over 100 dollars. That is a lot to pay for a little torque wrench. With that being said, it is very well made and I expect many years of use. The instructions are terrible. International no word directions. That really mean figure it out for yourself. My biggest issue with the wrench is that it came with a 1/8" adapter. NO ONE has 1/8" socket driver bits. Which is insulting. I think we can all agree that 1/4 inch bits are the standard and to include anything else is a careful trick to ensure you have to spend another 10-15 dollars on the adapter. (like the wrench wasn't expensive enough already). So many times when I buy Wiha, I like the tools but feel tricked by the pricing and careful omission of pieces. So that is why they do not get 5 stars.

I will include some pictures of the item and the instructions...

Here is how you use it. It comes with three pieces. 1: The wrench itself. 2: a torque adjuster. 3: 1/8" female adapter. You take the torque adjuster and plunge it as far as it will go into the wrench. You turn it to the desired torque (there is a little hole in the plastic that shows the number) then you remove the torque setting screwdriver thing and replace it with the adapter that takes the bits. (you cannot use anything off the shelf, it has to be their adapter). The adapter plunges all the way into the housing and "Clicks" into place. (the adpater is about 6 inches long). Then you are ready to put in a bit and torque down your fasteners. Knowing this will save you several minutes of trying to decipher the worst directions that come with the wrench.

Pros:
Well Made
Sturdy
Accurate

Cons:
Very Expensive
Terrible documentation
No usable adapter

So thank you for your time. If you order this make sure you just bite the bullet and also buy the 1/4 inch adapter for the bits. You will find the wrench useless without it.

After some disappointment with the incredible inaccuracy of 2 cheaper products, I sprung for this one. It feels like a precision instrument from the first time I used it. The other ones seemed vague and sloppy. I have checked it at several settings, and it is always withing half a inch pound.

Its only drawback is that it comes with an adapter that does not fit US 1/4 inch hex bits. That must be bought separately.

Don't waste your money on the Asian imports.

If you are an electrician and you don't use a torque screwdriver then EVERY connection you make is out of code!! It is as vital as your strippers. This one is a great one. Very good quality and very comfortable to hold.

WARNING: If you are in the states you need to buy a 1/4" bit holder to go with it. I keep two holders so I will have a #2 square bit and a straight bit handy all the time. I have a tendency of loosing the bits on their own.

I use this tool every single day and have had no problems what do ever with it. Again, of you do electrical work you must have one and I'd suggest a high quality model like a Wiha.
