There's no need to pay a lot for an HDMI cable,

[Anyone remembers the old "I am not going to spend a lot for this muffler" commercial?]
Just in case someone may feel guilty for not paying a lot more for, basically the same thing, let's look at one of our top of the line offers in premium HDMI, Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable (2 meters) and do a quick comparison. For a lot less, the BLUE Advanced supports the HDMI 1.3a/b standard. Any HDMI 1.3 cable can carry up to 10.2 Gbit/s. Hmmm... I suppose the Monster is much better, right? Well... it "guarantees a certified cable bandwidth of 10.2" Okay, but the Monster also supports "x.v.Color, and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD". It turns out that, all of the above, and more, are part of the HDMI 1.3 specs and they are fully supported by every cable that complies to the standard and can be had for about 95% less in the Premium Gold. The expensive brand presentation simply enumerates the HDMI 1.3 specs as if it being HDMI 1.3 compliant was a really big deal. It is not a big deal. Even a cable that costs 95% less is HDMI 1.3 compliant. My suggestion: if you think that the proponents of the expensive brand have a point when they claim that their product is a lot more durable, buy TWO Blue Advanced wires and still pay significantly less than half of what you would pay for one of the expensive ones. My personal experience: I've never paid 'a lot' for an HDMI cable because it makes no sense to pay more. I took home one of the 'expensive' ones once because the salesman promised to take it back if I wasn't amazed by the difference. It made zero difference and I returned it. ________________________________________ The following are the HDMI 1.3 specs and any certified HDMI 1.3 cable is going to support them. My HDMI cable makes my 40' Samsung sing!! The High Definition is Higher than anything Websters Dictionary could ever come up with! The price was right, the shipment speed was unbelievable and my Samsung and I are just as happy as if we were both in our right minds!!

I researched HDMI cables and found varied pricing locally as well as online shopping. With some research here and on Ebay I opted for this Cable. This cable performs excellently for the money. Some of what I learned is that the cable should be shielded so as not to pick up distortion from any surrounding cables, this includes other av, power, and the like. Since my Samsung is wall hung I didn't want any annoying cables between my DVR and DVD player. I used this 6'cable in the wall between an upper and a lower HDMI outlet. There are also other cables for sound and AV that occupy this same space so I needed the cable to be shielded. I also purchased two 3' from this same supplier figuring that the quality would be the same. The end result is a crystal clear HD picture with no distortion and hidden cables.

I compared this cable to a $70 rockfish cable from Best Buy. The Rockfish cable felt a little more substantial and the connectors were a little nicer, but I could not tell any difference in the video or audio quality coming from the mini-dvi to hdmi connector from my MacBook Pro to my Samsung plasma. If the cable holds up it will have been a great buy, only time will tell.

This is an awesome hdmi cable. Its a few dollars more than the other bargain hdmi cords sold on here, but it may be worth it. I don't notice any difference between this one and one I bought for cheaper when it comes picture quality, but this one has a better feel to it. It seems like it's twice as thick, even the plastic protective plugs it came with were thicker. Also this item was shipped to me in a padded shipping envelope and not just a thin plastic shipping envelope that the other ones came in. Would buy another one if I needed to.

The cable met my expectations. The picture looks flawless and the sound was fine too.
Why should the HDMI be any different? Stick with this, clear and simple

I was a little hesitant to buy. . . .Its dirt cheap, how would the quality be?? So I thought what the heck and bought one. When it arrived I will have to admit, I was wanting to hook it up immediately. I opened it, inspected it, and sceptically plugged it in and GUESS WHAT. . . . It worked perfectly!! What a deal!!

This is a great cable with high quality picture. Don't waste your money on an expensive cable at your local store. Almost all HDMI cables are created equal. The quality of the picture and sound is top notch and the quality of the cable itself is superb and highly durable.

This HDMI cord works perfectly. Why pay $30 or more in the electronics stores for one when this one is a fraction of the price and works just as well. Great product.
