Amazon really should stay on top of this stuff! $6 cheaper isn't a huge deal for a $60 game, but for a cheaper game like this it makes a difference for most people. Also a $10 gift card is nothing to ignore.
I got lucky yesterday, it had dropped to $36.99 with $10 off next purchase and then many hours later I saw at $29.99 with the $10 off and purchased it right away :). I suggested it to my friend but I think he thought about it too much and won't be buying it just yet, since he missed the deal.
That was the shortest savings time I have ever seen! Fail for Amazon.
Win for GameStop at $29.99 + free shipping + $10 gift card (which doesn't expire for 2 full years).
Fail for Amazon for having their credit expire within a month...
I have a $20 Amazon credit and I still find myself buying from Gamestop! I think Amazon needs to be a bit more competitive with this stuff. I swear they lower their price just long enough to show up on the deal sites and "shop engines" such as Froogle. Then they raise it higher than it started it. I have been seeing this quite a bit lately.
"Amazon's price is still $29.99, they are just sold out (says it ships in 1-3 weeks)."
So I should wait 1-3 weeks to pay more through Amazon rather than order it from Gamestop and have it in 2 days? That makes sense...
Then we have this... "And even better, Amazon does not charge tax, while GameStop does."
Amazon charges me tax. Just because they don't for your state, doesn't mean it's that way for everyone. I already said that above, so who gets the fail for not paying attention? I'll leave it at that.
"So you have $20 but aren't using it? Well then Fail for M. Henzel for buying from GameCrap."
As for the $20 credit, I didn't say I wasn't going to use it eventually. That would be dumb. At the very least I will use it to buy PSN $. Unfortunately Amazon makes you rush your purchase within a month or so while Gamestop gives you 2 years to use it (either at a local location or online). Shipping is free.
Again, there is no reason to argue. If you like Amazon then stick with them. For people that get angry when someone finds a much better deal and posts it here, they should get over themselves. You should be grateful that people are looking out for the customer and possibly getting Amazon to match the price in the process!
