This is my second purchase from this manufacturer - I bought the straight needles and was very satisfied with my purchase. They weren't quite as nice as Clover bamboo needles, but for what I paid for the Stanwood set, I was satisfied. Then I bought this set of circulars, and my money went down the toilet. Within a few weeks of knitting on the circulars, one of the needles separated from the cord. I attribute this to poor construction. These circulars consist of two bamboo needles joined by a hollow plastic tube and a little bit of glue. The hollow plastic tube separated from one of the needles, so I glued it. I repeated this process about four times (and with more than one needle size) before I gave up and threw the needles into my bottom drawer. It's irritating to have your needles break, but it's even more irritating to drop stitches on your project as the needles fail. Instead of putting $25 into this set of circulars, try to save up $50 more and go with an interchangeable set that is well-designed and will last. (Knit Picks' Harmony set was a great buy for me.)

these are awesome! they are so smooth and sooo much better than metal or plastic needles. they don't tear the yarn like metal or feel funny like plastic. and, the huge pack is such an incredible deal. they feel really nice to knit with because they are super smooth and warm up in your hands as you knit with them. the only problem is that because some of the needles are so tiny and thin, you have to be really really careful where you leave them so as not to step on them and break them

I am pretty pleased with this set; the wood is definitely 'rough' compared to the other smooth wooden needles I have. The numbers are faint and difficult to see for someone over 50.

These needles are not much good for knitting. The plastic that joins the two bamboo ends stick to the wool and does not allow the knitted wool to pass easily along. When you try to gather the work and pass it along the join between bamboo and plastic bends, and makes ongoing, fast, easy work impossible.

The only complaint I have about these is that they have a slight bump were the actual needle attaches to the plastic. It's no big deal you just need to keep your tension loose and if your using a yarn that snags easily, make sure you take your time to push it across.

I ordered both lengths of these needles (17" and 29")because it always seemed like I didn't have the right size. I will be retuning both. The bamboo part of is very rough and drags on the yarn and that hose that connects the needles gets sharp bends at the end of the needle when your knitting is being advanced. Other needles have hard plastic that connects the needles, these have a very soft plastic hose! I tried hard waxing two of these needles but it did not help. I am very disappointed in these. They are not even close to the quality of the more expensive Clover brand. You get what you pay for and I would rather my mney be spent on something to enhance my knitting, not hinder it. Those that praise these products obviously have not used quality bamboo needles.

I picked up knitting after many years away and wanted a variety of needle sizes at a reasonable cost. These have proven to be a very good purchase for me as I could never afford to buy this many needles in my favorite Addi Turbo brand. These needles are smooth and also have a smooth transition onto cords. The cords do tend to curl a bit, but nothing I have found too bothersome. I am pleased with my purchase and like having the size I need for various projects.

I like these needles very much. They are very easy and comfortable to use. And the price is outstanding.

I recently purchased the 14-needle set of 29-inch circular bamboo needles. The wood part is very smooth; however the joint between the hollow cord and the wooden part broke before I even finished the afghan I was making. Not a good thing. I was able to cut the plastic cord and re-glue onto the wooden part so I can finish my project; however I do not know how long this will last.

I feel that joint connection of these needles is not good and hesitate to recommend these to anyone. On the flip side, the price is extremely good; so you get what you pay for. They do feel great when you are knitting and the cord does not get in the way as come cables do.
