GE's 29418 is sensibly designed in a classical corded form and supports two-line operation. Separate ringers indicate the line on which a call arrives, and call-conferencing capabilities allow you to speak to two parties at the same time. The phone can store nine quick-dial and three one-touch numbers.

Use the speakerphone to free your hands for more important tasks. The one-touch redial button is convenient to use when you've just remembered something important to tell a colleague after hanging up. Separate volume controls for the handset, speakerphone, and ringer let you customize the audio levels, and the phone is wall mountable for space savings. GE offers a one-year limited warranty.

It's not worth the money. The Called ID doesn't tell you which line is calling. The phone connection is cheap. It's difficult to turn on the speakerphone -- you press the button and nothing happens. Basically, this is a cheap, poorly made product that I regret buying.
Don't make the same mistake.

I love it enough that when one of our two gave out after several years of being battered about on the kitchen counter, I went hunting another just like it and found a refurbished one online.

I don't use the speakerphone except when dialing a business where I know I'm going to encounter an automated system, and when I finally get a human being, I pick up (it automatically transfers to the handset).

I just really like the look and feel of this phone, and haven't been able to find another that I like as well (although I am looking for one with caller i.d. now). I may just have to get along without caller i.d. I like this phone too much to give it up.
