The phone works fine if you are the only one on the line. If anyone else picks up another line, the other parties can't hear you and you can't hear them.

I purchased this as an extra phone so I could access both phone lines on the second floor of my house. Well-built with hold and 3-way conferencing features, sound quality is good and it has selectable ring levels for each line. Powered from the phone line, no external power is used. One drawback: the line indicator doesn't light when the line is being used by other phones in the house.

Great price for a two line phone, but I don't recommend it for heavy use areas. Cheaply made, very few features. C-

Very basic phone but does everything I need it to do. Build quality appears very good and sound quality is also very good. No complaints at all with it.

The Line in Use feature with this phone either doesn't work or doesn't exist. I believe the second. Although its a listed feature on the GE Phone web site and in Amazon, neither the box nor the instruction manual references it. And communicating with someone from East Slabovia doesn't help. They could barely break through 3 grade English with that thick accent.

If you have ever used a two line phone, part of the core idea is to tell you which line is available at any given time. If you don't care about knowing that, just buy two cheap single line phones. Too bad this is the problem as the phone is simple and easy to use otherwise.

For those of us who object to the teeny "portable" phones based on size, energy used, and "can't prop under a chin while doing something with your hands" ....this small footprint 2 line/conferencing baby does it. Price is right. I got 2 since I'm sure they will stop making them (can't find a "land line" at any of the big box stores just the above. Humbug, off to Amazon!! I'm pretty hard on phones, so they don't last as long as the bricks in your grandmother's house - -so that said, I'm very pleased with these and have several.

well built and quality item. easy to use and simple and small. i have three of these in my house.

When first purchased was very pleased but then it wen downhill. One of the lines stopped working. Had the telephone service in twice only to find the problem was in the phone. Returned it to the manufacturer who has not reponded to my inquiries for several weeks. At this point frustrated with high price, poor quality and poor customer service. This product is not made by Verizon.

Most 2 line corded phones take up a lot of room and are loaded with unnecessary features. This model is fairly compact and light but sturdy. It has adequate memory storage, easy to use functionality and number keys that are easy to read and solid to depress. Multiple ringer volume settings are a plus.

This is a great 2-line phone. I used it to replace a Radio Shack unit.
