This only got 3 good mixes on here. I own a copy of the original versions of the songs that was on Makaveli bootlegs, & 2pac albums & the 2pac & Outlaws remakes. I'm a Die hard fan of Pac. I used to didnt really listen to rock when he was alive, only smashing pumpkins and nirvana. Due to Pac, i was inspired to be a hip hop artist. I love Pac's work, and i hate how DJ's...

I love Pac's work, and i hate how DJ's and others remix his original work to eat off him. i bought it because i saw a special on MTV about it, and i liked the "Revolution" track. The problem about the cd was i knew every song word for word, and identified the original names of the tracks, when i thought it would be unheard. The remixed the verse they mixed into "The Realest Killaz" on the Tupac Movie Soundtrack. It seems like somewhere in there, they ran out of verses then used the verses from "keep your head up pt 2" and "Hell for a hustler" and "still i rise". There's more, but it'll be irrelevant to type. If you're a true 2pac fan, I'd advise you not to buy it. If u want to hear it, borrow it from a fan who made a mistake and bought it like i did. hell, i'll sell mines. DJ Vlad, Dirty Harry and DJ Green Lantern, stick to making beats for these garbage mainstream artists mix tapes. Leave Pac alone!

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Songs with Good beats remixed with mostly bad or at least worse beats, November 3, 2005

Good Songs with Good beats remixed with mostly bad or at least worse beats, kind of like Nu-Mixx Klassiz.

It's really nothing worth spending your money on, baby don't cry get's remixed with Black Eyed Peas' where the love is the only song I can play without puke...

It's bad quality on the remixes, I guess that's why they didn't get the Outlawz to rap some new raps on it, how they got Jadakiss and Busta is beyond imagination.

Crap....

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly a rap phenomenon, June 20, 2005
This review is from: 2Pac-interview (Audio CD)
DJ Vlad, Dirty Harry and DJ Green Lantern. Their efforts on "2Pac: Rap Phenomenon II" should be commanded. To pay tribute to the fallen hip-hop icon, the three have "been busting [their behinds] for months on this one." Putting together 2Pac vocals with exclusive verses from today's heavyweights over popular instrumentals and original beats, the trio spliced the novel blends with testimonials from the likes of Alicia Keys, Sway and Fat Joe and excerpts from 2Pac's interviews and movies he appeared in.

The DJs managed to maintain thematic coherence throughout. All the verses in a given song, albeit from different sources, relate to each other. The variety of themes also depict the different facets and attributes of 2Pac. "Don't take a piece out of my life or a song out of my music and say this is what I'm about", he says in an interlude. There's as much raunchiness and bravado as philanthropy and self-effacement.

The mixtape concludes with a live version of 'Dear Mama', arguably his biggest hit. The last seconds of the mixtape are from an interview bit in which 2Pac coins his music as soul music. "Like Bill Withers and Marvin Gaye, [...] no matter who was listening, [...] the music lets you know that another person understands."

Rest In Peace
