4.0 out of 5 stars Great USB/VGA switcher
I have used this switcher for several years with a Mac and Windows PC tower. It offers fast switching with a sturdy knob. It's kind of light weight for so many cables being connected to it so you will need something heavy on top or tap it down. The video quality good. I had one before that distorted the video at higher resolutions but this one looks fine at any resolution.

This product claimed to work with both PC and MAC. It did not. I comes with nothing to install it onto your computers and it comes with nothing to actually connect your computers to the product. You end up spending more money and it still doesn't work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Now, September 22, 2011
This review is from: 2port KVM Switch Controllerusb/VGA for Pc & Mac (Personal Computers)
I use a wireless Logitech Mouse and Keyboard with unified Logitech reciever. I have 3 KVM switches that use hotkeys to change and they change but don't come back reliably. So I bought 2 of these because thay are manual switches. After 3 sets of cables and 3 gender changers never could get a screen. I ordered 2 other KVM switches off E-Bay, the link is below. It came with cables. I didn't like the design but I need manual switches. Anyway, the cables that came with them worked with this switch here. The E-Bay switches were not true manual anyway. Just a button to electronically switch although they did work but have port connections coming out of all sides. Not as clean a setup as the one here with connections all on the back. Also, watch your display settings and the type of monitor used. I use a very good Visio TV and it said invalid signal. Just turn off and back on and it's ok. You only have to do it once. I have no idea what difference in cables and don't care. I have a manual switch that switches correctly and an extra one also. And it works with a logitech unified reciever. Alot of switches that are hotkey require you to have 2 inputs. A keyboard and mouse input. I have 3 of these. They don't work reliably with the one reciever for keyboard and mouse. At least for me. Take this with a grain of salt, but mine works perfectly now and I have to have it for working on other computers without having to switch cables all the time. So, there you are! Hope this helps someone. They are very reliable manual switches once you get them setup right.
