I am taking an online course in coding. And while I like the flexibility of an online course, there is no feature to explain some of the answers. This book has been an excellent complement to the online course. Explains many of the terms and resons for selected answers. It also comes with coding software that is used in this industry giving me valuable work experience.

This book was reasonably priced. It came at a timely fashion. The book is very necessary for any medical billing and coding class.

At first it seemed like a good book until there was no answers to the questions!! So dont waste your money on it unless you get the teachers book to go with it!! For the money you spend on it you should atleast get the answers!!!

I hate that my teacher used this book and workbook to instruct our class. Like many people have commented, I am irritated with the incorrect data and typos in the book. On one page the author is saying 'this' means that and a few pages over the author is saying 'this' means the exact opposite of what was stated previously. This book often leaves out details to make a topic easier to understand. It is so ridiculous this book could never be used to self-teach because you would be very confused. There are no answers for coding practice and the only place you can find answers is to about 30 questions in the back of the book, but it gives no explanation.

Book uses a really complicated way to teach you, really disappointed that you don't get the answers unless you have a teachers book. Pretty difficult to understand and confusing.
Exercises are not really well explained and while in school with teacher we found many mistakes including answers to exercises
Basically the whole title 3.2.1 does not go with the book, Not worth the price. I haven't been able to learn much from it.

This book would be great if it included at least some of the answers to the chapter exercises. Otherwise it is only helpful if it is part of a class that one is taking. Wish I had purchased another book instead.

Great book if you need to learn ICD-9, CPT and/or HCPCS. I wish they required this book for ICD-9 instead of the other one.

They stated this book was new, and though it appears to not be in bad shape, it had sticky gummy stuff all over it, and one of the CDs was missing out of the back of it.

all in all the book was not in the greatest condition, but it served the purpose for the price, and it was delivered in a timely matter. i will order again.

It might have a wealth of information, however the author does not communicate well. I found it extremely difficult to follow!
