This cable does NOT work for iPhone 3GS. I tried to connect my iPhone 3GS to my car's AUX port using this cable. It went into both ports, but I heard either no sound or a big noise from the car speakers. As I tried to adjust connection several times, sometimes music came out from the car speakers but it was not stereo but monaural. Apparently the metal connector part of this cable does not match the iPhone 3GS headphone port.

Bought this for my car. Works with my iPad, iPhone 3GS and Nintendo DS. Did not work for my iPhone 4.

The part does not seem to be working well. The sound volume has gone down and you need to shake the wire ends to get proper connection when the volume comes back. You let it go and the volume goes down again.

Serves my purpose. May be the issue could be with retracting cable, but it depends on how careful you are with it. It serves my purpose for under $5

this cord it on a retractable line.... didnt know that or i wouldnt of purchased... at least i only paid .98 cents.

I can now plug my iPhone into my car stereo and get real stereophonic sound. Can Sham-Wow do that?

The cable does an OK job, but it is too sensitive. If the cable moves a little you hear a loud buzz. It is a good item for the price, but not what you want if you are looking for good quality sound.

It works great & is very handy to have. I've used it in my truck, home & office connected to my iPhone 3g with no issues at all.

Cables are super thin to save on space.
They're self retractable by pulling both ends at the same time.
This prevents from interfering with your shifter, steering wheel, etc.

This product working fine for me. The compact nature allows avoiding long cable hanging in the car.
