This review is from: GI Joe 3.75" Winter Operations 6-Pack Figure Set (Toy)
I've been a huge fan of the RAH line for years. I was delighted when I stumbled upon the TRU six packs, and have been excited every time I see a new one come out.
Now, I've always been a bigger fan of the Cobra forces than the Joe forces, so that may taint my review- if you're a bigger Joe fan than Cobra, you might want to adjust the score. The figures- Mirage- Weird. That's all I can say about this one. He's made out of transparent plastic for no other reason than that his name is Mirage. It just looks out of place, and doesn't make any sense. Frostbite- Great figure. The colors work well on him, and the white on white camo looks *awesome*. He's one of the gems of the set. The paint aps are great on him, and he's just how a RAH figure should be. Backblast- Ugh. This guy ties with Mirage for worst figure in the set. Just plain ugly. He's wearing black, orange and silver, which just looks stupid on top of the white on white pants. "Short Fuze"- I'm not sure why they named this figure Short Fuze, since it looks nothing like Short Fuze, but... whatever. This one is alright- the colors are a bit weird- if they're winter ops, why is he wearing tan? You'd think he'd have a hat or something too- since it's winter. Nope. The sculpt is nice- it looks like winter gear, but the colors are boring and seem odd. Stalker- I love this guy. The sculpt is perfect, paint aps are nice. That great white on white camo on the paints just looks too cool. Snake Eyes- Oh, man. Best figure in the set. I know, I know- everyone has a million Snake Eyes figures, but this guy is just too cool. The camo on him looks fantastic- it doesn't look particularly arctic, but it's a great camo look for him. I like that he's got one of the lesser used Snake Eyes heads, and the camo looks like a nice urban camo, more than winter. Accessories- Well, as with most of these six packs, the accessories are a weird mix. They're definitely getting better, though. It's a decent assortment of rifles and guns. I would have liked some more skis- if you're doing winter ops, you'd think they'd have more skis. The ice boots- whatever they're called- are alright- they're also the only thing besides the patch on each figure that ties the set together. Overall- If you just want a grab-bag of figures, this isn't a bad way to go. You're getting *great* renditions of Snake Eyes, Stalker, and Frostbite, and "eh" reditions of the rest. The equipment isn't a letdown. Aside from the poor renditions (and the weirdness of transparent Mirage), the biggest problem with this set is the lack of continuity between the figures. If they're going to release a six-pack, it'd be nice if there was a basic uniform theme between the figures, so that they *look* like a unit, instead of just a bunch of mismatched troops.

With the price of gas these days who needs to drive to the nearest Toys "R" Us?
For the same price online and a little shipping you can get what your looking for right now on Amazon.com! I got my package the same week I ordered it and "wow"! I was happy!
