4.0 out of 5 stars Good scope for a good price
This may not be the best scope I have ever purchased, but it has gotten more use then any other. It gives nice clear images, holds it's settings, and is easy to adjust when needed. The clear, flip up covers make it easy to get off a quick shot. I would recommend this to someone on a budget, or even if you have a lot of money to burn, you will not be disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice BB gun scope, maybe.
Initially, this scope feels heavy, like maybe it's of some quality. I mounted this scope on my AR-15, and while looking around my yard with it, it seems good enough -let's face it, it's inexpensive so how good does it have to be?

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice BB gun scope, maybe., August 18, 2008

Initially, this scope feels heavy, like maybe it's of some quality. I mounted this scope on my AR-15, and while looking around my yard with it, it seems good enough -let's face it, it's inexpensive so how good does it have to be?

I took it out on it's maiden hunting trip, hunting for small game in an open valley. I immediately realized that the optics on this scope were junk, there was a blur, or some sort of warp in the lense that wouldn't go away no matter how much tweaking or adjusting. It was like aiming the thing through a glass of water and then down-range. Also, the "spiffy illuminated reticle" has HUGE crosshairs. Aiming at a rabbit or a gopher at any distance is a joke because the massive, thick crosshairs end up covering what your aiming at. Sure they light up just fine, different levels too, but they're just too thick to be usefull.

Overall, the scope is heavy, the reticle lights well, but I doubt any sniper would use it with any attempt at seriousness or accuracy, the caps are a joke and will snap off in a stout breeze, the adjustment knobs are awefull -they feel like they're grinding when turned, not smooth at all, and the lenses are aweful.

So, to recap: 3x9 scope, lighted reticle, complete with covers etc. all for under $100!!! Yep, you get what you pay for, this baby ultimately wouldn't seem out of place rolling out of a kid's meal at Burger King, and has no real place on a rifle for any serious shooting. In fact, I found it easier to pull the thing off of my AR, and use the iron sights even for long range shooting, far more accurate too.

As for my scope, well, it took about 3 rounds at a hundred yards bafore I couldn't find it to shoot again. IT'S AMAZING, the body of this thing is like a boat anchor, all the parts blow off it, and the bullets pass through, but the rubber coating and heavy guage metal keep it from entirely blowing apart, in essence, it's a perfect target to shoot at. How ironic.

Do yourself a favor, pass this one up, spend more and get a scope that you'll acually be able to use effectively for some time. This little "bargain" isn't what it sounds, thanks China!

The scope is pretty much what you pay for. The worst part are the dials, they are rather cumbersome, but once I got mine zeroed in on my Bushmaster 7.62 I had no problems whatsoever. As for the guy who says the scope has paralax, he needs to flip up the plastic covers, its crystal clear when they're out of the way. The lighted crosshairs are also not of any importance when youre actually shooting, black is best. Really it is a great scope for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Honest Value, August 21, 2011

I bought this for my Yugo 59/66 SKS. Despite a less than stellar (shaky) top cover mount, once sighted in, I had no problem shooting 2+ to just -3 inch groups at 100 yds with bargain-basement Russian ammunition. I would give it 5 stars if NcStar would just give me a simple fine crosshair with an illuminated dot in the center instead of the rather busy mil-dot-quad-plex reticle, but then nobody in this price class does. Bottom Line - I'm ordering another one for my AK47. Repeat business is the best recommendation.

I bought this little scope to go on a DPMS Oracle 5.56. My only gripe so far is that it took 2 weeks to get to me from Amazon. I had no issues sighting it in except for the dirty threads in the horizontal adjustment cap. The lighted reticle is nice but the rheostat is very stiff to turn it on and off. The clicks are a bit mushy and not as positive as I would like but for the money I can live with that. The scope zeroed in quickly and with several boxes of shells through the gun has held zero. The sight picture is clear and glare has not been an issue. So far a good purchase.

Holds a zero very well. Clear picture. The illumination can be a little reflective on high settings. Overall it is just as good as the $130.00 ones at Gander Mountain. Great on my Ar-15.

I've only used this one time, but it seems to lose focus some of the time.
Power and clarity is good. Still needs some work I think.

Fantastic scope. Purchased this for an airsoft rifle and this was a perfect choice. Only 7" long with a 42mm objective scope works great, very clear, and bright image. Heavily built, get the impression it will take some abuse. The exception is the lens covers, those like all of this type look fairly fragile. Otherwise perfect choice especially for airsoft.

I bought the scope to put on my m4 had a slight blur due to the front sight post. Got a space rail to add hieght to the sope and it works wounders over here. We are able to idenify ied's and other targets at a safe distance. wish this was issued to all troops. Thaks for the advantage.
