Product Description
HitchGrip is a unique 3 bicycle rack designed to work with 2" Class III and IV hitch receivers to carry bicycles between the trailer hitch and trailer. The 1-7/8 inch thick rack clamps to the hitch receiver and bolts tight to prevent the rack from wobbling or tipping. A unique design allows vehicles to tow trailers and haul bicycles at the same time, with no worries. Bought this to use on our camper hitch and it didn't fit. We have a weight distributing hitch and it's just a little thicker (still 2" but rounded edges) than a typical 2" hitch. The bikes also wouldn't have cleared the propane tanks on camper hitch while turning corners. Looked like a good idea, but think this probably wouldn't work for any camper-- only longer tongued towables like small boats or trailers, and then it'd probably be just as easy to put bikes inside trailer or boat. I was able to return it without a problem, so only lost shipping cost each way -around $20. Live and learn.

I found the perfect bike rack for me in the Hitch grip. I wanted to find a rack that I could use on my exsisting receiver. I was a little apprehensive when I first saw this product because I didnt know how good it would hold around the square tubing of a receiver. When I installed the product onto the shaft of my receiver I was very happy with not only how easy it was to put on, but also as to how strong and secure it was. Most racks that intregrated a receiver/hitch where rated much less because of it. But with this gripping system you can use your exsisting 5K full rated receiver and not worry as to whether or not it will stay on or be strong enough for 3 bikes and a trailer or RV. The only thing that may be a problem is that I hope when the time comes that I will be able to buy new rubber straps that are on this rack. The rack works great and I recommend it to any one.
