Plot? What Plot?,
By
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
I guess I should have read the fine print - this is basically an anthology book, and I really don't like anthologies, as they lack plotting and developed storylines. Having said that... "3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys" is three sex-infused short stories about three brothers from different mothers in search of virginal brides.
In the first, big brother Rand overhears his brother's ex-fiance Phoebe admit that she would give up her fortune for a week in his bed, which is exactly where he takes her. In the second, the only legitimate brother, Carter discovers that his father's will requires him to marry in order to maintain control of the empire. He decides to proposition Daisy, the woman he dumped his fiance for, and finds that she is more than willing. In the final installment, youngest brother (and non-drinker) Colton wakes up in Vegas with a massive hangover and a sexy redheaded showgirl in his bed. He leaves a kiss off letter on the desk, only to be tracked down and find out that she is his wife. Some things that should have stayed in Vegas didn't... Of course he falls for his new wife. Each story is about 90 pages, which leaves little room for a storyline, since the majority of each story is spent in some sexual situation (and will only take a couple hours to read the entire book). Each would have made a compelling fully developed novel. It was disappointing since Lucy Monroe writes some great stuff. Lucky I got this at the library - you may want to do the same. Better to get "The Real Deal" by Monroe instead.

Ms. Monroe Offers Another Good Read!,
By
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
Ms. Monroe has delivered another good read for fans of rather steamy romance that offers plenty of alpha males and strong women to handle them.
This set of stories revolve around three half brothers that come to terms with their personal lives in rather unique ways. Without going into great detail these are stories that build off of each other. As a result you may not want to skip any one story as background is offered in each. The problem with this is that not much background is given and this portion of the stories suffer. All three men have a less than steller model to follow when it comes to dear 'ol dad and this affects their actions when finding love. Otherwise this with the exception of that small part these were a fun set of stories. Very easy to pick up and put down without loosing track of what's going on. Lucy Monroe is a very talented author and one that I think readers of romance should keep an eye on. She tends to pair opposite and their attraction is always steamy. I look forward to reading Ms. Monroe in the future and recommend that you might want to add this book to your "must read" list. Official Reviewer for www.romancedesigns.com

Two ok stories, one weak story,
By
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
1st and 2nd stories: 3 stars each. Sex scenes were good. Stories were just ok. They were not long enough to get into interesting character development or plot. The major conflict in the 2nd story was that he paid her money to marry him so she could feel independent. Then he worried whether she loved him or did it for the money. It was a little odd.
I did not like the 3rd story (2 stars). CAUTION SPOILER: Colton gets drunk, meets and marries a showgirl, remembers nothing and leaves the next morning. She finds him 6 weeks later and tells him they are married. Although he remembers nothing, he tells her he feels an immediate love for her and accepts it and says that he wants to stay married. This was too unrealistic and unbelievable for me. One of their arguments was her saying that he really wanted the lead showgirl, not her, but he says no he wanted her. This was not believable because he was too drunk to remember anything, much less which girl he preferred at the time. This was not a good story. Sexual content for all three stories: strong. Copyright: 2006. Genre: contemporary romance. As of 6/14/08, I've read 6 Lucy Monroe books, as follows. 5 stars. Ready. Copyright 2005. My review posted 2/21/07. 5 stars. Willing. Copyright 2006. Three hot bad boys,
By Judy "book reader" (Cincinnati, ohio United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
Lucy Monroe's 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys has three delectable tales of romance.
A Deal Is A Deal has Phoebe Garrison striking an unusual bargain with Rand Alexander. Phoebe offers the deed to an island Rand wants for a week in her bed. Rand is intrigued by this deal but is leery. But once these two seal the deal with a kiss all bets of just the one-week are off. ***Carter, is Carter Sloane's story. He needs a wife ASAP to fulfill his father's will. He offers Daisy Jackson a deal of a lifetime, marry him and you get a ½ a million dollars. After their wedding night that was pure bliss they realize that with their connection they have found a love of a lifetime. ***Colton's Story, has Colton Denning waking up in Vegas with a strange woman in his bed. He sneaks off but a storm called Fayre Cranston, claiming to be his wife tracks him down. As more of the story comes out about that night and Fayre herself, Colton will do anything to make Fayre realize this is for real. Lucy Monroe is an author I am so delighted to have found. Her heroes are delicious, sexy but they are vulnerable too. Her heroines are sassy and know what they want. I really enjoyed all three stories, they are steamy, funny and sensational.

three fine erotic romances,
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
Rand. Phoebe loves Rand, but a tragedy has left him rejecting her. Desperate she offers him a deed to property he covets for one week of sex. Though he vowed never to have sex with Phoebe the offer is too enticing on the boardroom and bedroom fronts. She prays that once they commingle, he will want her forever though she knows the risk could be a broken heart.
Carter. To inherit a fortune from his late father, Carter must marry. He selects his employee, the pretty intelligent Daisy as his temporary wife. She agrees as she will earn an easy half a million. Their wedding night is heaven making Carter wonder how to persuade Daisy he wants to erase the temporary from her new job description of wife; Daisy knows now the 500K was not worth the broken heart when Carter ends their marital arrangement. Colton: When Colton wakes up with a woman sharing his bed, he smiles until Fayre insists they are married. He cannot believe he does not remember saying I do. As cool hand Colton wonders how opposites could stay blissfully wedded the more he is with his new wife the more he wants to be with this ardent soul. These three novellas star the Denning "bad boy" brothers and a trio of delightful females who heat more than just their blood. Each tale is distinct because the lead couples contain differing personalities and albeit divergent relationships. Though Phoebe trade raises eyebrows even if her motives are pure, fans of erotic romantic anthologies will enjoy Lucy Monroe's passionate love stories due to a fine cast. Harriet Klausner

Like a Romantic Porno Movie in Book Form!!!,
By
This review is from: 3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys (Paperback)
I titled this review with my tongue in cheek, but the amount of sex in this book is right up there and written in great detail.
Three very dark and sexy brothers, three women who are madly in love with them (naturally exquisitely beautiful the lot of them), and their stories told one at a time with the occasional crossovers which increase towards the end. Well written and with an interesting storyline, I enjoyed this book and it only took a few hours to read. A good book for keeping by the bed!

Love the Bad Boys series!,

This review is from: 3 Brides For 3 Bad Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
3 Brides for 3 Bad Boys by Lucy Monroe contains three stories in it about three half-brothers, Rand, Colton, and Carter.
Rand's story is hot, hot, hot. Phoebe has just announced to Rand's half-brother (who she used to be engaged to) and her aunt that she would give Rand her island for one week in his bed. It just so happens that Rand is standing behind her when she makes this announcement. Rand so wants to take her up on the offer, but he knows that Phoebe is a virgin, and she is the marrying kind. Having already been married, and having lost his wife and son, Rand is now more of a player because he doesn't want to hurt again like he did. But Phoebe has been in love with Rand for years, and wants nothing more than for him to take her seriously and take her offer. Carter's story involves him breaking off his engagment with Phoebe (from Rand's story) because he is in love with one of his employees, Daisy. He has waited for four years to pursue Daisy, and now he doesn't want to wait another minute. He wants to see if what he feels for her is mutual. Plus, there is the added need for him to find a wife because of his father's stipulations in his will. Carter has Daisy pegged for his future bride. Colton's story is probably my least favorite because it is somewhat unbelievable. Colton has had a wild night in Vegas that he can't recall. I mean, he can't recall any of it, which just seems somewhat unbelievable. He has no memory of bedding or wedding Fayre, a Vegas showgirl. But when Fayre goes looking for him in Mexico and finds him, all of a sudden, he wants to keep his wife that he can't remember marrying in the first place. What? I liked Colton and I liked Fayre, but I would have changed the plot up somewhat. It was just out there. 4 stars!

the three in one story lines were good. Each brother had a different situation to deal with. They were creative and modern but with a romantic twist. I enjoyed this book.
