5.0 out of 5 stars The Butchies appear to me in my dreams now., July 25, 2001

This is an incredible album. It's probably the best thing Kaia and friends have produced thus far. The Butchies are just hitting their stride and living up to their potential. I picked it up about four days ago and I can't stop listening to it ... the songs are both beautiful and powerful, and Kaia's voice has never sounded better to me. This album has made me a fan. "IHATE.com" is about as insanely catchy as songs get. "Three" is much better than "All Hands On The Bad One", if you want a comparison.

Yes, it's punk! Cruising towards post-punk . . you gotta problem with that? Would it help you to know that these dyks play along with Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls and show up at gigs that feature the likes of Melissa Ferrick and Emma Lou Harris? Come on, this is supremely superb sound from three very tight musicians. Three is the kind of album that, while it won't park itself in your player, it will find its way back into your stereo and ears again and again and again . . . Want more? Check out their origins in Team Dresch.

If you only get one Butchies cd, this is the one to get. Lots of energy and amazing songs. But I recommend getting the two previous ones as well, because they all rock!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! These grrrls rock., August 22, 2002

I was fortunate enough to see The Butchies for the first time last week at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival and later got them to autograph this CD for me. WOW! This is music I've been searching for a long time. These grrrls rock. They possess so much talent. It's difficult to pick a favorite track. The music is hard but raw, not overly produced and simplified. Kaia's voice is soft and beautiful. I frequently find myself turning the volume up so I can hear her better. I haven't been able to get this CD out of my stereo since I returned home. I've been a fan since the very first song they played on stage that evening.
