Nice set,

These pastry brushes are worth the extra money paid. These will last quite a while if you take care of them. I've used these in a commercial kitchen before. Now I'm using them at home so they should last longer! One tip - don't ever put them in the dishwasher. The wood (though treated) is not able to handle the heat/moisture and the bristles may fall out over time.

These are nice sizes. The bristles do fall out while using and washing. They work just fine otherwise, except if you use melted butter when making your pastries. These bristles are too delicate to handle the heat.

OK but can do better,

These brushes are OK, but the bristles are not as secure as I expected. Fresh out of the box, I can tug gently on the tips of the brisles, and some will come out. Tug some more, and more come out. These are listed as "Commercial" pastry brushes, but I can't imagine a commercial bakery or restaurant using them. I'll be looking for some better non-silicone brushes, perhaps a good quality artists wash brush will do the trick.
