As a professional project manager who needs to stay organized, I find these multi-color pens invaluable. They write better than any other multi-color pens I've tried. Plus, these Tombow K-3's have some neat features. The pocket clip is now spring-loaded so it's less likely to snap off! The pens seem to be made of a more durable plastic than they were previously. Also, the newer models of these pens don't look exactly like the image shown on this site. The look is updated, more modern & professional. Write quality is fine point, exceptional, consistent, & smooth. Also, the "clickers" that you use to select which color ink you want, in addition to being colored to correspond w/the color ink you select, are also each uniquely notched at the top so that you can blindly pick which color you want just by feeling the clicker. Hard to explain, but a slick feature nevertheless. The rubber grip at the base of the pen is comfortable and easy to hold, even when my fingers are wet. If you are buying these online, buy in bulk because otherwise, you'll end up paying more for shipping than for the pens themselves. Also, for what it's worth, ink refills are available for these pens.

I love multi-color pens as I have to use different color to work with documents and make notes. This is the best pen I have found so far (tried them all).

Tombow makes excellent pens, for both writing and drawing. The Tombow 55560 "K3" pen and the Tombow 55566 "Reporter" uphold the Tombow tradition. Both are well designed and the quality is top notch. The mechanism for changing colors is very smooth, and the individual barrels deliver surprisingly long life. The pens deliver a finer line than the Bic 4-color pen, which is more of a traditional ballpoint pen. On an aesthetic note, the Tombow multi-color pens don't stick up out of a shirt pocket nearly as far as a Bic 4-color.

One note: The pens that I received when ordering from this vendor/page were actually Tombow model 55566 (aka the "Reporter") rather than the model 55560 ("K3") that's pictured. The pens are very similar, but the 55566 has a dark grey barrel and grip, and it seems (at least to me) to write a finer line. If you search on the two model numbers, you can see the differences and decide which to buy. (This seems to be a problem for many sites selling these two models -- I buy these for the office and have noticed that online catalog pictures for the 55560 and 55566 get mixed up routinely.)

The price from RestockIt at the time of this review is excellent -- three bucks with free shipping. That's the best price I've ever found on Tombow pens. At this price, I'm stocking up for the office.
