About the Author
ABOUT the illustrator John Olsen... John Olsen has been a stereogram artist since 1988. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 1989, he continued to develop his skills in various areas of art including computer graphics and image processing and is currently designing computer graphics software.
ABOUT the author Clement C. Moore... Clement Clark Moore was born in New York City in 1779 and was the son of Benjamin Moore, who participated in George Washington's presidential inauguration.
At age nineteen, Moore graduated from Columbia University, the top of his class in Oriental and Classical literature. He spoke fluent French, Hebrew, Italian, Greek, and Latin. He was a skilled violinist and organist, as well as a published poet.
At age twenty-four, he married Catherine Elizabeth Taylor, with whom he raised nine children.
In 1822, Moore wrote THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS as a yuletide gift for his children--modeling his version of Saint Nicholas after a Dutch workman in their neighborhood.
After a full life of teaching and scholarly pursuits, Moore died in 1863 and was buried in Saint Luke's churchyard in New York. Each year, Christmas Eve brings many vistiors to Moore's memorial site--to donate gifts to the underprivileged and enjoy a minister's recital of the famous holiday poem.

My daughter loves the, "...'Twas the night before Christmas..." poem. We pass the book around so everyone can see the 3-D pictures (which drives my husband crazy!...he can't see 'em!) Very clever.

These 3-D things really irked me until I finally got it. I don't have a clue as to how it works but all of a sudden I saw a snowman on the bookcover! Nice stocking stuffer kind of book.

This is a nice little book young children can enjoy during the holidays. The illustrations did not have quite the variety, color and detail I expected but the printing of the poem along with the
pictures makes for an interesting visual experience and is a good way to contain grandchildren and keep them quiet for awhile! Thank you, Martha Morrise
