Good start for 3 of Hearts, September 4, 2001
I first learned of the group 3 of Hearts when I bought the soundtrack to the movie "Where The Heart Is." There was a song on there by them, titled "Just Might Change Your Life." There wasn't an album out by them yet, but I'm glad there is now. It's a great CD. I like how the girls share lead vocals often throughout the songs; it reminds me of SheDaisy, another group that I also love. My favorite tracks are 1, 2, 3 6, 7, and 9. I wish radio would at least give the new song "Arizona Rain" some airplay. Alot of reviewers have alot of mixed views about the girls' ages it seems, and how they sing about stuff "too mature" for them to sing. I suggest you buy the CD and judge for yourself. I'm someone who loves country music and one rock band: Hole. If a Courtney Lover can give 3 of Hearts a listen, anyone could.

Kewel!!, July 26, 2001
At first glance, Three of Hearts may appear to be just another teen act, eager to hop onto the latest trend in contemporary country music. And it's true--this Texas Trio doesn't try anything new or daring on their self titled debut, nor do they have a musical style that sets them apart from the crowd of young females that has descended upon Nashville over the last few years. However, despite the fact that they seem to be trying to capitalize on the success of the Dixie Chicks, Three of Hearts has a great debut album with mature, defined vocals all their own.The debut album from this teen trio is packed with catchy music and lyrics that will remain in the listener's mind long after the last song plays. From the sad, sweet "6, 8, 12" to the corny, but fun "Sugar and Daises" to the beautiful "That's The Way," each track portrays and celebrates the feeling of being young and in love--the satisfaction that comes from a loving relationship ("Love Is Enough"), the delicious feeling of falling in love ("Over the Edge"), and the fact that love at first sight might not be such a fairy tale concept after all ("It Happened To Me"). The girls show off their extroardinary vocal talent on songs such as the gorgeous "Arizona Rain" and "Wash Away This Kiss," while songs like "The Hard Way" and "You Break Me" (penned by the same team who wrote Jessica Andrews' smash hit, "Who I Am") show that despite their beyond their age abilities, they are still young, after all. Three of Hearts is a gifted trio with exceptional musical abilities, and are sure to become quite popular among country music's teen audience. Any fan of country or pop will love this CD. With that, I am left with only one thing to say--watch out, Shedaisy--Three of Hearts owns you!

You go girls!, July 25, 2001
I have been anxiously awaiting this CD since I saw 3 of Hearts live almost a year ago! It is well worth the wait! The album kicks off with "Love is Enough", the single which, in my opinion, did not get enough radio play! Next up is the Shaye Smith ("Single White Female") penned "It Happened to Me", a song about falling in love. "6, 8, 12" is an awesome cover of the Brian McKnight tune. "Over the Edge" is another slow song, destined to be a single. "Sugar and Daisies", co-written by Holly Lamar ("That's the Way"), is an up-tempo, catchy tune that makes you want to dance. The new single "Arizona Rain", is a change of pace from "Love is Enough", but has a great message about starting over after heartbreak. The first time I heard "The Hard Way" I liked its toe-tapping beat and message of life's lessons. "Wash Away this Kiss" shows the ladies range, it is a great ballad. "You Break Me" is a phenomenal song by the hugely talented Troy Verges' ("I Would've Loved You Anyway"), the chorus is super catchy and it leans towards the pop genre with is slick beats. "Is It Love" is poses the question 'Is it love?'. "Baby That's the Way" closes the CD with a soaring ballad about how being with the one you love fills your heart. All in all, this is a stunning debut effort by the group, it makes you happy and makes you want to dance!! I look forward to hearing a lot from Katie, Desi and Blaire in the future!!
