3 Holiday Storage Reels in a Bag

I bought this item last year to store our outdoor mini christmas lights, its perfect! the reels were easy to roll lights onto and fit in the case perfectly. I'm not sure what size the strands were but I know one of the 3 strands had 500 mini lights on it. the case is really sturdy and seems like it will hold up over time. My husband liked it so much that he had me order another one for our indoor mini lights.

The reels come in a very nice canvas bag with three plastic reels. there is a bar in the center of each reel with finger divots to help improve your grip when winding, which is very helpful. i was able to get three strings of mini-lights on each reel (9 strings of lights total) and fit it into the bag. It was a little snug but did fit. The handles on the bag are sewn on very well and there is a small zipper pocket on the back of the bag that is perfect for the little bags of spare lights that come with your strands. I used one of my reels for beaded garland and it worked very well. I recommend this to anyone for great light and decoration storage.

Great Idea! The Holiday 4 Reels in a Bag is a terrific way to store Christmas lights.
This has a handle for easy carrying. I purchased two at Target and went back to get another but
was disappointed because they were all sold out. Luckily I found a third one at our local HD hardware store. No more searching through boxes trying to locate our lights. Now I will know exactly where the outdoor lights are for next Christmas. Buy one and you will be wanting more.

UPDATE: January 5, 2006 After winding the lights on the reel only three of the four reels fit in the bag.
That being said, I still recommend this holder and plan on buying a few more.

an individual reel doesn't accommodate a 200-light string as advertised. the bag can limit the storage of a reel depending on its diameter after rolling up the string of lights. i had to split a string of said lights between 2 reels in order to store them.

Heed the other reviews here - this is a set of 3 *tiny* light reels.

I tried both mini icicle and mini strand lights, and I couldn't get more than 100 lights or so on each of the reels, and even then, it's a tight fit in the bag.

The description said this could hold up to 600 lights total, but I'd say that the entire bag can hold closer to 300 lights total.

Just so you know how tiny this thing is, here are the dimensions of the outside of the bag;
Diameter: 10"
Length: 8"

Great idea but the reels don't hold enough lights and when full, you can only get 2 in the cute red holder. Designers need to enlarge the holder to anticipate (duh!) full reels being put in without breaking bulbs! Would never buy again!

This is the second set that I have purchased; the system is simple to use and easy to store; makes next year's decorating easier as well. The lights roll right off and onto the tree (or wherever you may put your lights); A simple must have if you store your lights.

This product is very inexpensive and it saves you from a big head ache on the day when you decide to get your lights out its not a pain in the but to undo.

This storage container does what it designed to do and does it well. Just as described before I ordered it. Great deal when ordered with PRIME.

For anyone who has lots of stings to store, you will need lots of these. Wish they came in a bigger size/diameter with more reels.
